Straight line mode on the rear wing of Alonso's car wasn't working. ALO also says huge vibrations on the straight.

Sky saying Aston said straight line mode failed on Alonsos car... What a farce... Stroll had 308, Alonso 287 in the speed trap.

They have a rear braking problem. Alonso had to go slower down the straight to be able to stop in time for turn 1. They had the same problem in FP1 but whatever they did has made it worse. Good news is they're last, they can make whatever changes they want and they'll still be last. Oh and clearly they have vibrations down the straights again, sounded like a rev limiter again.

He didn't have to go slower due to brakes, the rear wing didn't open

So was the wing not closing why he was having rear braking problems ? Cause it looked like he was braking only with the fronts.

Apparently the rear wing didn’t open the whole lap. But why would that cause vibrations?

What would happen if only the front open but rear didn't ? All the front lock up?

They should be faster than a few cars ahead of them in the sprint race, so will be interesting. And then out of parc ferme before the real qualy so can do some changes. But what a disappointment after Hungary and FP1.

Separate issue. So he had 3 issues. The rear wing didn't open, the vibrations and rear braking. Even though he was going slow, the rear wing was closed(didn't open), he still couldn't stop for turn 1.

Could be the closed wing, if Lance didn't have vibrations.
