Aston Martin Red Bull Racing TAG Heuer RB14

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

Not so sure about CoG.. Red Bull has put more of the cooling hardware on top of the engine, drawing air from the roll hoop inlet as opposed to Mclaren and others who put their coolers in the sidepods.

Only Mclaren have the traditional v8 era air inlet while everybody else has the more current type larger units.

It's a shame. With a decent engine this car could race for win every race.

This makes me think they could project a laser or microwave beam upon the face of the tire, to help manage temperature and wear. Install the emitter in the sidepod, with a window like this. Wouldn't be any rules against it. Other than the laws of physics.

p.s. not saying it's not a camera.

Or it's a camera to get a good view of the whole width of the tyre. Could be thermal or just visible light depending on whether they want to look at heat build up or just really good view of graining etc. Most likely thermal imaging.
If you are more fortunate than others, build a larger table not a taller fence.

Is this the lane departure warning for Max?
