Scuderia Toro Rosso has announced that Alexander Albon will drive for the team in the 2019 Formula 1 season, alongside Daniil Kvyat. The 22-year-old British/Thai finished third in the Formula 2 Championship this year, having been in the running for overall victory until the final race.

if Max doesnt care for 3rd 4th ect, he will never win a title. so he will have to change.
Now that Mad Max will have an obedient number 2 driver he'll probably be happier to take the occasional 3rd and 4th place. His previous strategy of "beat Ricciardo or crash both out trying" was performed in order to achieve dominance within the team, even at the expense of points. Now that he's seen Riccardo off his desperado approach should no longer be necessary. Whether he realises this or not, and can actually modify his behaviour on the track is another question.

no wrong way around, ric wanted to challenge max for number one spot but failed.
max is redbullwonderland, have you ever been to the austrian belgium german hungarian uk gp ?
there are max village / max tribunes / redbull is max world.
and max knows that, he will take no orders. what max wants will happen. max=money
Good for Dan. once you have a few 10's of million in the bank, what does it matter if the team offers you double the competition does, enjoy your racing, it it will be gone soon enough.
If Dan was truly 'very happy' there he would have not dragged out signing this long. There has to be a reason or reasons he was unsure of staying.
Go for what you want to do, forget the money, its only numbers when you get to where you are.
When arguing with a fool, be sure the other person is not doing the same thing.
Some people in press is saying that Max don't want Sainz, I imagine Alonso will be even worse, Max wants to be another Vettel with a designated lapdog, watch how they bring Gasly to the team.
A good move for Riccardo, gets him away from the Toxic Verstappen. He will really flourish at Renault i think as the team leader, however this may just be the sort of bench mark that Hulkenberg needs, and it seems both of them are good friends and will work well together.
My new prediction for the 2019 grid:
Mercedes AMG: 44] Hamilton / 77] Bottas - Both confirmed
Scuderia Ferrari: 5] Vettel / 7] Raikkonen - All but confirmed due to the death of Marchionie, will probably be confirmed at Monza
Red Bull powered by Honda: 33] Verstappen / 10] Gasly
Renault Sport F1: 3] Riccardo / 27] Hulkenberg - Confirmed toay
Haas-Ferrari: 20] Magnussen / 16] Le Clerc
Silverstone Team-Mercedes: 11] Perez / 18] Stroll
McLaren-Renault: 14] Alonso / 55] Sainz - Think of 2006 with Massa and Schumacher, this will be akin to this year.
Toro Rosso-Honda: 28] Hartley / xx] Norris - Norris will be gone for a year, only to return to McLaren after Red Bull get their junior
Sauber-Ferrari: 9] Ericson / 2] Vandoorne
Williams-Mercedes: 31] Ocon / xx] Russell - Two Mercedes drivers, for the sweet Mercedes discount, and a experienced driver for Williams to have lead the team with a hot shoe.

I think the perfect team mate for Max would be Kimi , shame he is 'occupied'

I'm sure Honda would have mixed feelings if Alonso materialised in a Red Bull next year. I wonder how much money was required for Daniel to make that decision? I suspect less than the rumoured amounts from McLaren.
