I think Ferrari (and every team as well) will need more than a wheel nut to win races.I also agree about the automated operation and the risk that brings.Past shows that innovations ,especially at Ferrari (Pit stop lights/rim covers) have caused some unfortunate mishaps.Maybe that 0.2-0.3 that they will gain from the auto fastening instead of manual works for them but i doubt that it will make such a difference that is worth discussing about.Maybe season proves me wrong, will have to wait and see.

They'll need at least 4.

@InsideFerrari what about the F10 engine mounting system? Is true that is some degrees lean?
@TomHorsepower Ah, let's say we have an unusual installation of the engine...
Kind of a confirmation?

I'm wondering whether this could be an alternative brake cooling solution? They're not quite the same as the old wheel covers as I assume they must spin with the wheel. If those hoops could draw flow onto the brake disk, though, maybe they wouldn't need such large intakes? Just a thought.

Do you think the drag vortex from such a high profile wheel nut might assist in your suggested hypothisis concerning the wheels brake cooling effect! :?: 8) :wtf:

Duely noted  These guys are rather clever fellows. Perhaps going to an "Italian" team
has eliminated "The Stepney Effect"!
