Interesting so far.I think it was a mistake to choose High Downforce set up as we are losing a lot of time in those straights and not gaining enough on the second part with high speed turns. Unless they have an ace up their sleeve and know something that we don't.
Whenever I watch Lando, he just can't go through the chicane. Every time he mounts the kerbs heavily, it doesn't look fast at all. Piastri went much better through the chicane, even though it doesn't look amazing (like VER).

I think these type of turns are really tough on the car but I don't watch onboards of other people so maybe it is not that bad.

What about the top speed of our car in those straights compared to those in top? I noticed Norris was going between 299 and 301 km max speed. I think we are losing a huge amount of time in those two large straights.

Just spotted a difference in rear wing config, similar to Silverstone Lando is running with the cutout, Oscar not.. Lando is about 2-3 tenths quicker in the last sector.

Was wondering why he was significantly quicker on the straight yesterday.

Out of curiosity. Let's say it was a mistake to use High Downforce set up. How much time does it usually take to change set up? What the hell. What did they do differently now and they got that good of a time? It was so much better this time.

GOD DAMN IT. SO CLOSE. I don't know how they did it but something changed between Q2 and Q3. It seems that the High Downforce set up works even on top speed circuits and the car appears to be a good all round car.

So close!! Max spoiling our fun haha

Superb lap again from Piastri in changing conditions, as we’d suggested from first glances at Melbourne in practice.

Max in that final sector is ridiculous, just don’t know where he makes up the time.

Probably the Red Bull DRS.

On another note Oscar Piastri made a better rookie year than Lando Norris so far. What is the difference today between Lando and Oscar in set up today as they were 3 tenths apart?

It's interesting seeing a High Downforce car being that good in a top speed circuit. What can Peter Prodromou do to make that High Downforce car shed it's drag without losing Downforce.

Haven't seen how it is on pure dry conditions, but losing round about 8 tenths in sector 1 and 2 does not bode well for the race.

Half a second in sector 1 is painful to be honest. They are going to get smoked on the race. You can't overtake in S2, so if someone gets past, good luck following them the rest of the race.

What a mega lap from Oscar. The kid is the best driver that entered the sport since Max. Extreme talent, being able to do that in only just his first season. So happy that he replaced Ricciardo.
