This is the floor they keep going back to....
In Hungry they did 2 things to the fences. They changed the teeth and they add the wavy split to the top of the floor entry.
#1 the teeth
In Austin the kept the hungry teeth and added the dip in front of the teeth. The Dip in front of the teeth was there at the first race(Picture from first race below).
The 2nd thing they did was the wavy top of the floor entry... The Picture on the right is Hungry
Auston
This vertical Floor entry wing element, The Auston version is just a reintroduction of a part the first used at Imola.
Also the side pods have added sculpting during the year ....from limited sculpting at launch, they gradually added sculpting (Suzuka, Imola, Hungry), then back to limited sculpting in Austin. Austin's side pod shape is different than launch shape.
Some of the things I noticed looking back over the year, is that, some shapes keep getting reintroduce. I guess they believe those parts should improve performance but are resulting ion some side effects (stability problems). They're lacking the Correlation to see why in the WT or CFD. Hopefully they'll figured it out with all the instrumentation they ran. I think we'll see some evolution of the Austin package at 2025 launch.
In season upgrades have to depend on CFD and WT data. Maybe that's why the season Launch package has had steps up in performance, they produce the future parts in the last upgrade then gather real time WT data on the track that they can then use to correct the package for the next year.
