Alonso said that both him and Lance had break issues. Maybe he try to protect him or maybe he really had break issue.

Most interesting is that each interview he keeps repeating to the team “we are 10th fastest team” he said it 4 times. Previous was "we are the 7th” before that “we are no more the 5th”.

So of course he knows that the new WT is coming an as well as new resources, but I think that he is pushing for something like for a change. It seems that they don’t even listen to him or his feedback…

They both had brake issues but they were different issues. Lance's locked up in turn 4.

Not sure what Alonso's where, the car just wouldn't stop and the wheels locked up.

Alonso was using Austin floor from what I’ve seen on twitter. Makes sense why he was complaining about bouncing
He couldn't change floors. Would have had to start from pit lane.

On the positive side, all the right teams got points. Despite the terrible showing, we only lost 4 points in the constructors lead for 5th place.... Could be much worse if Haas had gotten those 33 points. The rest of the races are in the dessert.
Honestly I don't see any positive side, in my opinion they will be the worst team next year
It doesn't look optimistic but you never know.

I know Newey cant work officialy until march, but, honestly i have no doubts the high staff could ask any help for him to build the AMR25. i mean, how someone will control the phone calls, messages, visits and whatever about, they need some help from Newey quickly or will be the last team.

There will always be risk that unhappy employee within AMR will leak the information. Now worth for a few tenths to compete at the back of the field.

Not sure how much he can do from just looking at pictures. For sure he can talk to Fallows and listen to him describe their situation. Tell him what Fallows needs to look for with these regs. Fallows probably just needs some direction.

We will discover if these "secret mettings" with Adrian will happen if AM bring back to podium or back to the fifth fastest team earlier next year. Honestly? these "secrets mettings" are my only ans last piece of hope.

It is also possible that Aston knows perfectly what to do but can’t with this year car.

Let’s see, I hope 2025 will be better with some podiums on the season. Fighting for P4 with Mercedes

Let’s not forget 2026 is the true goal

Too much hope is going to make you very disappointed next year. The Austin updates, if they worked correctly, were supposed to make the car more stable and shave off two or three tenths. Not only that, the updates were to be the basis for the 2025 car. The updates had the opposite effect.

This is the floor they keep going back to....
Image

In Hungry they did 2 things to the fences. They changed the teeth and they add the wavy split to the top of the floor entry.
#1 the teeth

In Austin the kept the hungry teeth and added the dip in front of the teeth. The Dip in front of the teeth was there at the first race(Picture from first race below).

The 2nd thing they did was the wavy top of the floor entry... The Picture on the right is Hungry

Auston

This vertical Floor entry wing element, The Auston version is just a reintroduction of a part the first used at Imola.

Also the side pods have added sculpting during the year ....from limited sculpting at launch, they gradually added sculpting (Suzuka, Imola, Hungry), then back to limited sculpting in Austin. Austin's side pod shape is different than launch shape.

Some of the things I noticed looking back over the year, is that, some shapes keep getting reintroduce. I guess they believe those parts should improve performance but are resulting ion some side effects (stability problems). They're lacking the Correlation to see why in the WT or CFD. Hopefully they'll figured it out with all the instrumentation they ran. I think we'll see some evolution of the Austin package at 2025 launch.

In season upgrades have to depend on CFD and WT data. Maybe that's why the season Launch package has had steps up in performance, they produce the future parts in the last upgrade then gather real time WT data on the track that they can then use to correct the package for the next year.

I don’t know if it was true that an insider few months ago wanted Fallows focusing on making the car easier to drive instead of keep reintroducing, reshaping, mixing upgrades…. every race the car is more difficult to drive.

I hope that they manage to give the drivers a car that it is easier to drive before making it fast. We are already on the far back of the grid so we have absolutely nothing to lose.

AN is no silver bullet to make a slow car go fast as AN himself too have made some blunder in the past..AN strength is in the understanding the regulation change and to design a car from clean sheet. I think he may have already started on the project by himself without.
