Positive things
Red Bull team boss Laurent Mekies sees positive things. After Verstappen's triumph in Baku, Mekies spoke out to the international media: "We feel that some of the positive things we saw in Monza, we found again in Baku."

"Especially when it comes to the slow corners. It's only slow corners here, and despite the low downforce, that worked very well for us. That's a different comparison than in Monza."

Yup, as I said previously Max was comfortably faster in sector 2 during the race like 0.2-3s faster than George and Sainz (who had quickest S2 all week in q3).

In Q1 and Q2 when both MCL got in good laps, Max was still on avg a tenth faster in sector 2.

That's why I think the RB21 will be fine in the slow corners in Singapore, the bigger issues will be ride height due to bumps and kerb riding.
If car can survive baku it can survive singapore with a lower ride height. Think the bigger issue will be tyre temps and wear.
Halo not as bad as we thought

It's Singapore. If car is on pole it will win. You can't pass around Singapore without a massive pace advantage.

Singapore is a night race so track temp will not be that high.

Honestly based on Baku actually Mclaren is now worse at kerbs and bumpy tracks than Red Bull.

What happened in that one corner towards the end? Max is very very good around this track.

I don't think that is definitive yet. They set good pace during GP, but messed up Quali and didn't have the straight line speed to overtake in the race.

It's still a hot race though, even though humidity is the biggest factor for drivers.

Does humidity effect car performance??

The air temperature is important for choosing the cooling configuration but I think the tire behaviour is more sensitive to the track temperature. Singapore doesn't experience very high track temps because it's a night race. Sunlight is the reason that the track becomes much warmer than the air temp. Without the sunlight, there's very little difference between the track and air temps.

Last year in barcelona (daytime), air temp was around 22-24C but track temp was closer to 40C because of the sun. In singapore last year, the air temp was around 30C and track temp was also around 30C.
