One is topical humour inferring a former driver has supernatural powers, the other is a gratuitous libel.

Seriously people, I have never seen a group of people get their panties in a twist over such minor stuff before. Oftentimes when someone makes a joke that is a little offensive it is best to just let it slide. If someone makes a post which expresses obvious racism or discrimination against a particular religion or group of people then I would agree that the moderators should step in. If a single individual repeatedly posts items which are mildly offensive, showing repeated lack of respect for others, then the moderators should step in.

I reiterate, Down votes are childish.
