Just how much are you willing to pay for that?
Considerably less than most Americans pay for their monthly cable bill I suspect.

I am simply not interested in nearly all sport, so any type of 'sports channel package' is never going to find its way into my monthly outgoings.

In the UK I buy day passes to watch the Sky Sports F1 channel on race day when it is not live on the BBC.

So that is ~$12 for a race and I think that is perfectly fine.

I would pay, say, another $6-8 for a Nascar style 'Trackpass' which gave me access to a multitude of cameras and views plus live-timing.

So for me, personally, I think that I would pay $20 / race for HD coverage, multiple cameras on iPads/Tablets and live timing.

If I could buy a year in advance for less than 20 x $20 ($400) for say $250, I would buy it now......

Dear FIA, if you read this, please pm me for a redesign of the Technical Regulations to avoid finger nose shapes for 2016! :-)

Right now, someone is landing a robot on a comet 4 billion miles away at 40,000 mph. What the hell are you doing with your life? #Rosetta

Sigh. I love space exploration, but c'mon. Bragging doesn't bring friends... #-o

Now that you ask, I'm trying to improve roads for the poorest farmers in my country, farmers that live 300 km away from the capital and travel at 15 kph.

We're also moving on: from being an underdeveloped country to becoming an overwhelmed one
Image

To put things in perspective, it takes more time for them to travel from their farm to the capital of the country than it takes to travel from the capital to Beijing.

They are our "living antipodes", farther from us (in time, that is) than the images of the comet.

I also have a quote for those scientists (and for the people involved in R&D of Formula One, btw):
This system of R&D ... is broken. We are seeing a complete lack of R&D in areas of real need, especially in diseases that affect the poor.

The effects of this system on patients in developing countries is something that I – as someone who has worked as a doctor in some of the most remote areas in the world with Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) – have witnessed for years.
So,let's me ask you: what the hell are you doing with your life, Mr. Ponce?

These are also pilots, landing might be as difficult, involvement is probably larger, I'd say

On Austrian TV "Servus TV" (it's a Red Bull owned Tv station) there was a very interesting discussion about racing on Monday. They had (former) race drivers from all kind of diffferent series. F1, Rallye, DTM , Long Distance Racing, Indycar...
Not the most prominent ones, besides maybe Matthias Eckström, but still a very interesting discussion.
They pretty much all ripped current F1 . It's really sad what happened to F1 in my opinion. F1 used to be the pinacle of motorsport and it's drivers were the brightest stars. Now they are the laughing stock and other race drivers don't take them even seriously anymore.
Especially Matthias Ekstrom made some excellent points there.
F1 one has become too soft, too complicated, too regulated, too much business orientated, show is more important than substance.
For god riddance, just bring back F1 of old. :?

Formula 1 should not be chasing a younger generation of fans as they lack the financial means to be of value to the sport's sponsors, claims F1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone

Seems like Bernie doesn't care either:
http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/116761
"I'd rather get to the 70-year-old guy who's got plenty of cash. So, there's no point trying to reach these kids because they won't buy any of the products here and if marketers are aiming at this audience, then maybe they should advertise with Disney."
That's great Bernie, but your utterly perfect plan has a tiny flaw. While you'll probably be able to buy a machine that either creates a younger clone of yourself or stop and reverses aging altogether, an older public will ultimately have to deal with a small bump in the road called death. Maybe you can stream F1 into the afterlife?

EDIT: eh yeah that williamsf1.

The issue with such comments is that he totally lost touch with reality. A 5 second search on google yields this about twitter:
http://www.statista.com/statistics/1838 ... age-group/

20% of the group aged between 35 and 44 uses twitter. Most will look it as a compliment that despite the age of 40 they are still called youngster. "Oh Bernie, you silly dog! trying to get into my pants right?" "getting into your wallet will suffice"

EDIT2: oh wow, he even took the time to discriminate women:
In further remarks no doubt intended to provoke, Ecclestone added “women in particular like to criticise” changes in the sport and claimed Formula One’s most successful team were no longer the draw they once were.
I'm sensing a provocation towards Monisha Kaltenborn.

That interview with Bernie is unbelievable.

The fact that the sport allows this fossilized old crock to wag the dog typifies why it is in such trouble. No enterprise can survive lunacy in the executive suite. :wtf:

I think Bernie is either dim or just plain stupid to make some of those statements in public. Does he not realise that its the audience that brings the sponsors and not vice versa?
Long experience has taught me this about the status of mankind with regards to matters requiring thought. The less people know and understand about them, the more positively they attempt to argue concerning them; while on the other hand, to know and understand a multitude of things renders men cautious in passing judgement upon anything new. - Galileo..
