I've long been an advocate for pointing out BS and I've even had warnings because of it. Also I've said before that I don't have faith in an F1 team, I question anyone's intelligence if they do as I would if someone has faith in any number of things, including the big one.diffuser wrote: ↑19 Jul 2018, 08:58BS on BS doesn't make anything true.McG wrote: ↑19 Jul 2018, 03:56If you can't beat em join em. McLaren is not interested in selling. Why even waste time discussing a hypothetical scenario that is basically more or less equal to day dreaming?
They may as well sell up since it's going to be so long or never that they may or may not be winning. Same with Williams. If anything, Renault will be on top quicker and Red Bull are fundamentally a better team so they will always be ahead even with a Honda engine.
Just look at the sorry characters in McLaren now.
If they start winning those same sorry characters are heroes.
Anyways always easier to kick people when they are down than keep the faith...
What does "Large package D pieces" imply?M840TR wrote: ↑19 Jul 2018, 16:44Albert Fabrega : Tomorrow McLaren will be doing experimental tests tomorrow at Aero. Some parts can stay in the car if they work. For Hungary there is planned a large package D pieces.

Weird Spanish translation. Probably means big upgrade for Hungary. Or at least relatively bigger if the parts tested in Hockenheim work.Ground Effect wrote: ↑19 Jul 2018, 16:53What does "Large package D pieces" imply?M840TR wrote: ↑19 Jul 2018, 16:44Albert Fabrega : Tomorrow McLaren will be doing experimental tests tomorrow at Aero. They brought a new front wing
0.2 to 0.3 sec is way too ambitious but we'll know come qualigodlameroso wrote: ↑19 Jul 2018, 19:37Brake duct winglet under the brake duct as well, they tested 2 different versions, one in France and in Austria IIRC. I think it will be a small gain, a tenth or two, maybe three if they get the setup right, if it allows them to run a little less rear wing it may be worth something around Germany.
True, I'm just thinking in overall terms, if the parts work, especially in creating more low speed downforce then that small gain coupled with being able to run a bit less rear wing could mean a small improvement over a lap. Perhaps .3 is too much however that would be an upper bound. There's a lot of time in the area they're focusing on now.M840TR wrote: ↑19 Jul 2018, 20:200.2 to 0.3 sec is way too ambitious but we'll know come qualigodlameroso wrote: ↑19 Jul 2018, 19:37Brake duct winglet under the brake duct as well, they tested 2 different versions, one in France and in Austria IIRC.
