One thing I can't get over and seem to grasp is the flip-flopping of the media. A couple of weeks ago, Boullier's leadership was being questioned, asked if he would resign etc. He was frequently quoted for the best famous (or infamous) one of the best chassis remark, amongst other things. He resigns (or gets fired) and now he's being regarded a scapegoat.
Q: (Stefano Mancini – La Stampa) Kimi, will you help Vettel to win his championship this year?
Kimi Raikkonen: I can only drive one car, obviously.

Wait why is the sale of McLaren group being discussed? It is no basis, there is no company interested in buying McLaren. McLaren is not interested in selling. Why even waste time discussing a hypothetical scenario that is basically more or less equal to day dreaming?
If you can't beat em join em. Everyone's doing it.

They may as well sell up since it's going to be so long or never that they may or may not be winning. Same with Williams. If anything, Renault will be on top quicker and Red Bull are fundamentally a better team so they will always be ahead even with a Honda engine.

Just look at the sorry characters in McLaren now.
BS on BS doesn't make anything true.

If they start winning those same sorry characters are heroes.

Anyways always easier to kick people when they are down than keep the faith...
I've long been an advocate for pointing out BS and I've even had warnings because of it. Also I've said before that I don't have faith in an F1 team, I question anyone's intelligence if they do as I would if someone has faith in any number of things, including the big one.

Anyway, my posts were tongue in cheek.
Finally, everyone knows that Red Bull is a joke and Max Verstappen is overrated.

Albert Fabrega : Tomorrow McLaren will be doing experimental tests tomorrow at Aero. Some parts can stay in the car if they work. For Hungary there is planned a large package D pieces.

What does "Large package D pieces" imply?

Weird Spanish translation. Probably means big upgrade for Hungary. Or at least relatively bigger if the parts tested in Hockenheim work.

This should be a track to see if the smaller front end parts and setup changes make any difference, or whether it's going to be wait for the next couple of races for the larger packages to come through - as it'll be another punishing one for Mclaren if not.

They need to develop the side pod areas, even compared to sauber, the McLaren looks bare

Brake duct winglet under the brake duct as well, they tested 2 different versions, one in France and in Austria IIRC. I think it will be a small gain, a tenth or two, maybe three if they get the setup right, if it allows them to run a little less rear wing it may be worth something around Germany.

0.2 to 0.3 sec is way too ambitious but we'll know come quali

True, I'm just thinking in overall terms, if the parts work, especially in creating more low speed downforce then that small gain coupled with being able to run a bit less rear wing could mean a small improvement over a lap. Perhaps .3 is too much however that would be an upper bound. There's a lot of time in the area they're focusing on now.

Hungary update will be biggest of year for Mclaren, after BCN, in number of updated parts, but they dont expect to jump to top of midfield whit them.
