It's incredible how Oscar seems destroyed since Monza (thanks papaya rules =D> ). Lando now has the momentum, but he'll find a way to fu*k up something sooner or later, Max is hunting and they are melting down. Let's see where that goes.

On the one hand unfortunate Norris edged P2, on the other hand I feel more comfortable with Norris at the start. No telling what a starved Leclerc or Russell the terrier might do.

Avoiding Russell is the only goal. He doesn't care and simply wants to be there. Norris can't fight Max and lose ground to Oscar. He has to be necessarily careful.

Leclerc doesn't have much to lose.but I don't think they'll be in Max's race.

What a lap from Max, by 0.3s. Just amazing, no words, really enjoyed this qualy. But still race pace is a big question, we will see tomorrow if we stay ahead after t1. Its gonna be really hard to close the gap, but if Verstappen wins tomorrow the chances are slighty better. Norris looks as the faster driver so we need to focus on him more. Closing that point gap down to at least 25 points before Mexico would be good. But its f1, you never know what you gonna get.

I think Norris tomorrow at the start will think more about defending against Leclerc and Russell rather than attacking Max; then of course if he gets a good getaway and Max a poor one, he'll try to pass.

It’s a shame that mid year was so poor and cost the championship hopes.
The comeback is really great but too late I think

Great lap by Max to put 3 tenths on everyone. Unfortunate Norris managed to pull off a purple S3 on his final lap, otherwise he'd be back in P4 instead of P2.

Yeah, I think Charles and Russell could hold Norris at bay for a decent amount, esp. Charles, would have made the race much easier. At least, Piastri is far away, could be a nice dent in his lead.

Max after qualy.

“I don't know, we changed some things on the car. Hopefully that will help tomorrow, that's the most important. We'll find out! [..] I'm confident that I think we improved the car and hopefully we can show that”

He would have been in a Ferrari sandwich with Hamilton behind. Leclerc would have definitely played the team game to go for a double podium and hand Lando to Hamilton.
That would have left Piastri in a papaya sandwich an we all know how that would have ended....

Max's lap looked very good. Better than the sprint I suppose.

I also think RB20 was quicker in the snake section even compared to sprint qualifying lap. Crazy car.

yes, for sure T1 was much better than in sprint quali. Could have been even better with a second lap.

I'm still a bit scared of McLaren magic tyre wear.

Yeah the car was very compliant and at least a couple tenths more were left for sure because of the flag issue.
