30 seconds in front of Piastri is insane. Is he done for the year?
He was 7 tenths off in qualifying. Looks like that just carried over. Lando is the more serious threat. He's only 14 behind Oscar. That'll disappear in two weekends.

I don't think I'll watch another F1 race again if Max pulls this off.
64 points taken in 4 races. You can't make this --- up lmfao

Good thing, Mexico should be an easy one stop, more so than Austin

It will be much cooler in Mexico. A lot of low speed corners. Max was killing it in S3 all weekend and that's where the slow speed corners are.

The team really turned the car around and salvaged it from where it was this summer. Really impressive turnaround, I did not believe it would happen and even Max was pessimistic. But they did it and now Max can make a difference again.

Singapore was a little hard for the car but the quali set up was enough to defend the place. Here the two qualifications, the sprint and the race were won fair and square on pace and control. Norris looked very fast today, but I am confident he would not have threatened Max much seeing how he had his hands full with a great Leclerc.

Too bad Tsunoda can not serve this purpose as it would boost the chance of winning the title by a little margin. The hope is still alive, and Max get his 5th victory of the season.

Tsunoda should have finished in that 30 seconds between Piastri and Max....but alas...

If Max can win in Mexico (Lando P2), and then Max wins Las Vegas (Russell P2, Lando P3), then....

Max and Lando will fight alone for the title. Piastri seems nowhere recently. Lando will catch him, then Max, and it will be Max vs Lando at Abu Dhabi.

The technical team did quite the job. They also finally got some wind tunnel time to do some real work on the car as well. Let's not forget that since 2021 we have had the lowest tunnel time of all teams lol.

Maybe some of that helped as well.

Right now as it stands it feels like McLaren are no longer guaranteed to win regardless of where they start. So that way we should have some outside chances going forward. It's somehow incredible how this team keeps winning almost every 50-50 race. Incredible.

Sao Paolo and Las Vegas remain the 2 tracks that the MCL drivers could stumble on. Sao Paolo for the possibility of rain and Vegas because MCL has struggled on low temp/high speed tracks.

Can't let Russell win Vegas though, wins are too important.
