The second place has gone. Better option is looking after tyres and keep third place.

They are used but he might be bluffing

I guess that the softs might also suffer more when following.

There's no chance theyll 1 stop on used softs either, as a general reply to other posters.
So you are expecting Leclerc victory?
Yeah true, I looked at the lap count and it is closer to the end than I realised.

Still leading. All they gave to do mainly is not crash into each other.

It could all have been very different.

It's still a long way to go. Piastri has a 40 point lead over Max and 15 points lead over Lando. Today the car wasn't even set up right as it was too high and Max won't be able to win every grand prix. There will be races where Mercedes will be very powerful like Vegas and Mexico.

Good job Lando.

I know people will keep dooming but I think this race was perfect example why we should win the WDC. Even with just on free practice, even with a double DNF on lap 1 in the sprint the car is clearly second fastest, maybe even fast enough to win.

Such a shame for the team.

Piastri also needs to think hard what happened here. He will not win the WDC if he keeps this up.

Seems not.
And +8 vs Verstappen after missing the Sprint and 2 fights with Leclerc...make me feel that a win today was on the cards.

Nice job Lando.
Looks like the Mclaren does still have the best race pace but Mclaren keep conceding track position one way or another.

Not bad at all. P2 is a great result. Piastri on the other hand...

I can't doom them today. The car was already compromised by the ride height. If the car was in the correct height it could have won today.

Say what you will on Lando, but he does get the points home, and he does have great speed.

Lando needs to tidy up the first corners at the starts somehow.

He showed his teeth overtaking Leclerc at the end there- that was good to see
