He's very strong in S3 where the low speed corners are.

I sincerely hope RB ditch these ancient air to air intercoolers for next year. It’s a big packaging penalty and clearly the system doesn’t perform to the same standard as what McLaren uses. Weight seems to be the only benefit, but it can’t be much.
For me i think cooling with air is cool it show they are pushing tech hard .it will have been easier to do it with water but you have carry the water while sloshing around and have to pump it which sup energy from pu

Irrelevant session, but it's a good start I guess.

Was Tsunoda the only driver outpaced by one of the young stand-ins?

Monaghan was interviewed by Italian TV:
- we picked up from the last stages of floor upgrades where we found something that was missed in the last upgrade and it was worth bringing it here, we had to change a bit the floor because the touching point with the top side changed (my impression, the real upgrade was on revised cooling, and new floor is an adaptation to that)
- more, more and more resources are for 2026, but there's the chance to win this championship we'd be foolish not to try to win it
- [praising Honda] we hope we don't have to go over the limit [PU wise, I got the feeling that they are a bit worried on this side]
- there are one or two more things that we could bring, but they are very small

They believe.

Looking at the results, yes Yuki was the only driver to be outpaced by a young stand-in, in the same car. Lindblad also finished ahead of Ocon, Colapinto, Albon, Hadjar, and Alonso.

FP1 rookies' gaps to team-mate
Lindblad -0.093s
Aron +0.531s
Iwasa +0.744s
Crawford +0.899s
Browning +0.926s
O'Ward +0.929s
Hirakawa +1.035s
Vesti +1.202s
Fuoco +2.474s

FP1 times
1 Charles Leclerc (Ferrari) 1m18.380s
2 Kimi Antonelli (Mercedes) +0.107s
3 Nico Hulkenberg (Sauber) +0.380s
4 Oscar Piastri (McLaren) +0.404s
5 Gabriel Bortoleto (Sauber) +0.536s
6 Arvid Lindblad (Red Bull) +0.617s
7 Esteban Ocon (Haas) +0.658s
8 Yuki Tsunoda (Red Bull) +0.710s
9 Franco Colapinto (Alpine) +0.951s
10 Albon (Williams) +1.004s
11 Isack Hadjar (Racing Bulls) +1.029s
12 Fernando Alonso (Aston Martin) +1.092s
13 Pato O'Ward (McLaren) +1.300s
14 Fred Vesti (Mercedes) +1.309s
15 Paul Aron (Alpine) +1.482s
16 Ryo Hirakawa (Haas) +1.693s
17 Ayumu Iwasa (Racing Bulls) +1.773s
18 Luke Browning (Williams) +1.930s
19 Jak Crawford (Aston Martin) +1.991s
20 Antonio Fuoco (Ferrari) +2.474s

Lindblad was the only rookie to beat any non-stand-in driver.

According to AutoRacer's editorial staff, the original plan was to bring the latest updates to Brazil, but once again in Milton Keynes they pushed on the accelerator and tried to catch everyone off guard.

If this update could improve medium corner speed and in the end also tyre wear a bit more this would be 🙏
The hard tyre might be more of an option this weekend if I understood Vowles correctly, which would be good news.

I think yuki is done after the year. Sky interviewed marko after Fp1 and he said lindblad was told not to trash the car but still went as faster than yuki and according to marko gave good technical feedback, and he was impressed.

according to Italian commentator (pinch of salt etc) it's Mercedes
Mark Hughes said it's not Red Bull. So its not RBR or Aston Martin.
