Not sure what the fuss is all about. Hamilton sleeping meant they were going to bang wheels. Verstappen knows the rules perfectly better than everyone else. Only person to escape a clear cut penalty was Leclerc for Turn 1. That's within Ferrari so I guess they ruled that one out.
This is just not a good take sorry, to single out LEC, which many have done, is just lazy because it's comfortable. At least some RBR fans on the discord channel were also in agreement that Max got away with something there.

To think that Max got to P4 and thus he shouldn't lose the place to ANT or RUS isn't a good take at all. This is why people say that there should be gravel rather than grass or road there. Max had nowhere to go there, in a normal race he's either in the wall or out of the points past T3.

This is RUS on instagram (source reddit for me, I don't have IG).

I'm far from being a RUS supporter, I think we can all agree with that, but there is a CONSTANT excuse of a certain driver as "he knows the rules better than everyone" which is frankly also unrealistic, took the stewards 30 laps to even decide what to do there, let's be serious for a minute...

In this very same thread the "gaining an advantage" for Lewis is that he gained a few seconds in front of Max during their scuffle, but not that Max cutting that corner in T1 likely allowed him to not find himself 10th or worse after T3.

I repeat myself, this was the worst stewarded event of the past 3-4 years and there have been some absolute stinkers. Yes, the rulebook is crap, written badly and partly by the drivers. It's still crap and the amateurish enforcement makes it even worse. This is not acceptable at this level of money flowing in the sport, stop asking drivers how to write the rules and write a proper overtaking rule and "gaining an advantage" rule, if gaining an advantage is just overtaking then write "overtaking off track" which is already a penalty.

lazy lazy lazy all around.

It is said that Hamilton damaged his floor but where and/or what lap was the floor damaged? His run over the grass on lap 6 looked quite ordinary.

I don't know the lap but it was when he ran wide over Turn 4

Alright, so that was lap 6 then? It looked like a very unremarkable trip over the grass. Verstappen's trips were much more violent. Although I heard he went deep in T4 again towards the end of his 1st stint. I'm not really sure what to believe because Hamilton has had pace issues in the races before and this didn't look too different to what we've seen before. His pace in the immediate aftermath doesn't really suggest the damage was significant. His lack of pace as the race went on just looks similar to COTA. I don't think it can be solely attributed to damage.

Adami was the one who told him his pace was good considering the damage, dont think its been said when he got damage to his floor but he got damage to his front wing on the lap 1 contact with Charles and piece of it seemingly flying off his car later on in the race

Lewis : Something just flew off my car.
