Mclaren's state is just sad: 3 years with "one of the best cars in the grid", blaming Honda for all their misfortunes, then get Renault engines and lose to Honda engines in qualifying at Monza.
Now they haven been paired the most underwhelming team and PU builder. Both have promised things that never come.

Pretty good performance from Nando in Q1, i expect both Vandoorne and him at the bottom of timesheet. Vandoorne is in mariana trench, so underwhelming and worse than Hartley

Yeah we got, but do we really need to repeat it every weekend? Changes are coming, so give it some freaking time. People seem to have forgotten that Ferrari waited from 1979 to 2000 for the world title. This is F1, there is no magic switch. You can even consider this to be a good year for the team, because without switching they still would have blamed Honda and nothing would have happened.

Sky sport's Ted Kravitz reported that Alonso was hailing a major breakthrough this weekend that improved their performance from Friday to Saturday and gave them more speed

It sounds like Toto Wolff is getting frustrated trying to find Ocon a seat. It sounds a bit like Mclaren want him outright. If they can pull it off, that would be great
Q: (Stefano Mancini – La Stampa) Kimi, will you help Vettel to win his championship this year?
Kimi Raikkonen: I can only drive one car, obviously.

Mercedes should hand over their chassis if they want Ocon in the car. 8)

And just how is that going to fit with the Renault engine which is a different layout. They could not even mate a patner engine with their gearbox. Ocon will prolly stay in Force india

:) :D I'm surprised they'd let go of his $15-$20M, not a good way to start a team that just came back from administration

They can have few hundred millions from Stroll, besides Mclaren are desperate for funds and prolly regret Sainz deal already. For all the hype that British media are putting on Norris, he has only won one race so far in GP2 and quite fortunate his rivals have had multiple DNFs. He isnt ready for the drive considering Russell might not get one.

Fernando Alonso is pleasantly surprised with thirteenth on the grid for the 2018 Italian Grand Prix following the Spaniard’s struggles in practice.

“After yesterday’s poor performance we were expecting a tough Q1,” said Alonso, “but the team made a lot of changes overnight and the car was faster today. Starting tomorrow in P13 is a good surprise, and unthinkable a couple of hours ago.

“I’m a bit worried tomorrow we might come back to reality and struggle in the race, but let’s see how it goes. We start in a position close to the points, so with a good start and a good strategy anything could happen.

Only referring to pace from Friday to Saturday. Ted's not the sharpest tool in the shed.

Force India are scrapping for their prize money of about $33M, and you think they won't miss Checo's budget? Why would Mclaren prolly be regretting signing Carlos already?

Because he’s 7th on the grid and doing a terrible job. This guy always whines, reacts seriously on Mercedes giving the chassis to McLaren for Ocon, believes Force India will get a budget similar to Red Bull and I could go on and on. Just ignore the guy.
