In defense of Piastr, he has no luck either.

Congratulations to Lando Norris for winning the race and extending his lead 24 from Piastri and 49 from Verstappen. Mega good job from Super Kimi to hold off the much better Red Bull car for so many laps with a clearly inferior Mercedes. Good job for Max recovering from last to third. Very good racing. Piastri my man. You have lost the game. Another penalty that costed 2nd. Looks like Lando Norris has this title in the bag.

Indeed. The manouver was far from hostile, and sadly it caused alot of damage. Antonelli took his braking very late, which also sealed the deal for Oscar which was also allready comitted.
If i would get the money to start my own F1 team, i would revive Arrows

Did Max get new power units as well?

Oscar cost himself more with that reckless restart by the way. He took out Charles Leclerc and he gave himself a 10 second penalty. If you put Charles as an extra barrier for Max and put Oscar 10 seconds up ahead, he would have been podium at worst with Max very likely behind him.

Oscar was blinded in following Norris and ended up losing points to Max. Never discount Max, even if he is starting from the previous race's grid.
As i wrote before, the move was not that hostile. Antonelli softened his braking just enough to jump a bit ahead which caused the contact. It was a racing incident. I wouldnt blame any of the drivers, they simply tried their best. Sadly it resulted in contact. He saw an oportunity and went for it.

Question for Piastri fans, are you in favor of Piastri now supporting Norris, he is 24 points ahead?
I'm not a Piastri fan, but not a chance should he give up his chances.

Yea. I think he’s the favourite to win the remaining races now with that unfortunately
Just a fan's point of view

Going for it was fine, but then be prepared if you can't make it. He was never far enough alongside Kimi to get away with it.

Qatar and Abu Dhabi will be close regardless. But even if Max wins every race, all Lando has to do now is finish the next two races without losing 23 points to Max and Max is out of it when we get to Abu Dhabi.

Lando should bring home the WDC now. Even 3x p4's would pretty much do it providing max wins the races.

Assuming Max did not push the car too much in his charge with higher engine modes and things nobody knows who will win the last 3 races. Remember that they changed everything and even settings out of parc ferme.

Agreed. It is not the McLaren way.

The team must go into Las Vegas with the intention to win. Don't fall into a trap of defending this lead.

Just win, take it further away.

The tire strategie was actually a desaster. A second good medium tire was sorely missed. They will learn from this.
