Persistent 503s earlier today
I also get that sometimes when trying to go to a forum thread, but going back to the front page, and pressing update, and then try again has fixed the issue for me every time that happened

I occasionally get them from the ‘new posts’ page going into a new thread, but refreshing the page by the URL bar sorts it out

Yep this seems to be the main workaround at the moment.

Weirdly, if I go to the home page, and then try to go straight to the unread posts link (https://www.f1technical.net/forum/searc ... ce37a1b188)

I get the 503 error. But if I delete most of the URL and just leave https://www.f1technical.net/forum/ then I get into the forum, and from there can click the same unread posts link which works.

Any ideas?

If you accept cookies the it shouldn’t be an issue. As far as I’m aware.

I've just resorted to logging out and logging in every time I visit. It stops the errors, for me at least.

This could help the bad bots.

It may hurt the good ones a little bit but overall would help everyone.

Cloudflare is another option but I've not used them for this.

The bots are back and the loading time is worse, again. Over 4222 unregistered users at the time of this post. Thank you for your efforts and hope you can get on top of this problem.

Disgruntled former user? Probably

A competitors site? Possibly

An errant url hack gone wrong? Unlikely

A member of staff at an F1 team? Unlikely

An F1 team? Highly unlikely

Who knows, but it's pretty persistent and therefore highly motivated. Which I would guess makes disgruntled former user as the most likely.
