From the-race, Mexico City. They have not spotted the 2nd beam wing element of the Mercedes. It is further forwards, just behind the upper control arm of the rear suspension.
Mclaren has hardly any cooling openings. I suspect that is why they can afford a single beam wing element. They have more "potential energy" in the airflow due to the more efficient cooling system. Therfore the single beam wing element probably generates as much or more downforce than the others with the double wings which are fed less energetic air flows.
