You cannot be serious. Lando started ahead of out of position front runners and is recovering from food poisoning, while Danny started amongst the backmarkers... No --- the one with faster cars behind fell back and the one in the midst of slower cars went forward.

Lando lost most of his positions on the first lap and was only able to get past KMag’s Haas with a few laps to go. Daniel gained positions though the race.

So yeah, it is simple physics, Lando lost places from his qualifying position, and Daniel gained them.

Ricciardo was still slower basically every lap, apart from 4 or 5 when Norris lost time due to an overtake.

So yeah, maybe Norris didn't show his full potential yesterday, but even then, Ricciardo was still significantly slower. Which is not really a goods thing either.

Gaslighting aside, the sprint went very well for McLaren. Lando finished in the maximum position possible (behind the top 3 teams who have cars which are significantly faster and able to compete for wins this season) and Daniel made solid progress to make up 3 places. His pace rather dropped off at the end though and ended up over 5 seconds behind Gasly and Vettel. Hopefully he can compete with those guys tomorrow for some points and hold off any charging Alpines (as Fernando did look rather fast after the incidents).

I've realized every time the team has run this config of downforce (med DF) the car has always suffered excessive wear, understeer, and had major straight line speed deficits relative to the other teams as it was in Japan.

The car is far better in a high DF config and much closer to the top teams.

You’re embarrassing yourself here. Lando finished P7, behind Ferrari, Red Bull, and Mercedes. Best of the rest.

Daniel had no business qualifying P14 and out in Q2 in a Mclaren nevermind his teammates food poisoning and barely being able to speak on the radio.

Let him be, just 2 more races, and he can preach on some other teams part of the forum. Oh , wait, sorry, he will just have to wait for 2024 . And I personally like Dany, I think I can say for all the Mclaren s fans, nobody wanted more that this relationship had a big success , than us.
