I would say take Norris's statements with a lot of salt as he tends to play the underdog all the time/

is anyone able to see actual 'live timing data' on any website ? I tried the usual ones, and all are blank.

The live timing on the F1 app is working on my phone….

It’d be nice for us to see some of the long run data because they aren’t as confident as we think:

It's politics indeed. Lando was talking differently yesterday after he ended his 150 laps compared to day 1 and we all know how Lando tends to underhype his chances.

Hows the lap count for Piastri? He is stuck with Hards in 6 laps.

He might be a drama queen sometimes when speaking about performance and usually, he tries to deflect attention by saying that other teams are as competitive or even more, but he did looked a bit concerned/deflated when speaking about it so maybe ther is something real.

Right now my feeling is that they are 4'th behind Mercedes, Ferrari and Redbull. Can they find some performance in the next few weeks for Melbourne, or are they going to be on the backfoot for the first few races?

Remains to be seen. Personally I am confident that they will be up there.

I would really be surprised if they are 4th. I can see 2nd or 3rd, but also 1st. Mercedes is probably going to restrict engine modes to sandbag. We also need to take into account that the team brought very few soft tires (just 8 ). They won't have as good qualy runs as other teams.

To me this preseason looks similar to last year, McLaren working steadily, car shows good pace from the start and they are just going on with their program.

Rob Marshall did comment that it doesn't look like it will be competitive (no one really standing out) so they at least think they are in the mix.

Live timing works on F1.com. Don't know about the unofficial ones.

It was bugged in the morning. Now seems to work fine with the exception of current tyre age, I don't think that works.

It’s more telling what Houldey said. So I don’t think Lando is being overly pessimistic.

Houldey said that the Ford has an advantage but the Mercedes has an advantage too. Makes me think that the Toto line is true where Ford has better deployment/ electrical efficiency but also Max’s line is also true where the Merc has more peak power. Which I like the idea of to be honest, could make for a fascinating watch during the races to see which strategy plays out best.

The Red Bull side though says that Mercedes is sandbagging and we haven't seen the engine at it's best yet.

52 laps Piastri has till a few moments ago.

F1.com is certainly bugged. Stuck in the same lap number as a few mins ago.
