Abu Dhabi with its medium speed corners is going to be nasty
2 DRS straights and not as many long duration corners like Qatar.

Good for us?
Not for us but AR3 does make a very good point. Its not long radius.
Call a spade, a spade.

Most are 90 degree corner with hardly any or negative camber, same as Baku and Vegas. These races weren't too bad.

Stella is almost crying.
I think they're broken
With 12 points margin and fastest car its still in the bag for mclaren unless something weird happen

Deja Vu for Stella. He and Ferrari lost Alonso the championship in 2010 at Abu Dhabi.

actually that strategy decision was of Chris Dyer, historical engineer at Ferrari who after that race was sacked like many other very good people amid classical Maranello's blame culture

Will be heartbreaking if somehow it won't be enough next week but boy what a season that was.
Give Max a car with half a decent engine next year and the fun continues.

Kmi was very down at the interview, he was very sorry for Max and he thinks he can make it; maybe he'll return a favour :D

Ah now I’m sad for Kimi. He wouldn’t have wanted that.

Nice blunder by mclaren to give Max an unexpected win. The car was around 0.3 - 0.5s off on average but still managed to bag it.
Antonelli really dropped the ball by letting Lando trough. This now means norris needs only 3rd position instead of 2nd in Abu Dhabi. Realistically Piastri will let him trough no matter what happens, even if it means dropping a few positions, or they will just box him out of the way, so we need at least two cars that are not mclaren in between Max and Lando to win the championship. Tall order.

Mclaren won't lose in Abu Dhabi on pace, it will either have to be a driver mistake, collision, or strategy blunder. Red bull needs to be quicker than Mercedes and Ferrari which isn't a guarantee. It's still a long shot but at least there's some hope of something extra ordinary happening.

Indeed we need Russel or Kimi in a very good position, fighting with Mclaren drivers and Max just driving away at the front. Thats the only scenario in which Max wins, but what is amazing this race gave us another week of hope. This sprint weekends we are usually quite bad. This car needs 3 FP sessions to find the right setup. Mclaren with this strategy mistake gifted Max at least 7 points, in the different scenario Piastri would dominate the race until the end, Max p2, Lando p3, and the gap would be 22 points. Taking this into account we have to be very happy today.

In 2010 it was a very similar situation, Vettel was 15 points down on Alonso before the last race. Now its 12, that means a major mistake by the leading driver is needed, or a poor strategy… Its still very hard, but we can still dream.

What more I can say for Max, what a driver…

Max had to skip FP1 last year which of course hurt their setup but the car seemed to have the pace for pole.
I'm confident that he can win.
