Incredibly stupid strategy calls, on two occasions.

First not pitting on lap 7 which was a slam dunk obvious pit decision. Maybe just maybe Norris has to hold but so what, maybe let him into traffic and take the penalty.

Second super stupid decision was pitting Norris onto hards at the end. He was holding up Max, hurting Max's tires and hoping for a potential red flag. Going until the 25 laps of the tire would put Norris on his half used softs for last 7 laps, again hoping for a SC and by holding Max he would have helped Oscar and himself. At least make Verstappen have to overtake Norris, once he overtakes you can either go to hards or softs, depending on when it happens.

But no, we get Norris to pit and come out 2 seconds behind Antonelli.

At least Antonelli made a mistake and Norris is 12 points ahead.
Norris waa losing time to Sainz and Antonelli. Keeping him up longer only guaranteed 5th. He should have stopped earlier.
He was already behind them. He went to pits and got a small tire advantage on a super durable tire on a track that is hard to overtake on.

I bet that going on softs would have worked out better. Not to mention that you could luck into position due to a SC or a red. What they did was the worst decision.

I am completely disappointed seeing a team trying everything they can to give such a cheap title to Max by screwing our drivers who are trying to do double the amount of work on track and we know if Mclaren wasn't such a GP2 team in strategy the title would have been over by Vegas. Disappointed by the stupid rule that was invented for this GP and disappointed from the DRS system.

The arrogance of the "flexibility" call was just comedy gold.

I don't care what they decided or their crappy papaya rules. Last race if Max is first Oscar will and must give his position to Lando to get the title.

Mclaren forgot that 2 wrong decisions do not make it right, the second stop for hards were just another awful choice. They lost their nerves and their thoughts with the first mistake and then there was a chain reaction to recover things which was impossible. Could have given up the win to protect 2nd and 3rd comfortably. Papa rules are just silly, you are not going to share the WDC, prioritize the drivers and maximize points for the most likely one to win, when will they make their decision? This is looking like a joke now, I hope I am wrong but the way Max is driving this WDC is truly his to deserve.

NOR needs P3 to win, he might not need to pass PIA if PIA is 1st or 2nd

Not sure I agree. Max is driving well but this is on McLaren. Without Las Vegas DSQ this is a McLaren title right now.

In the last race I hope they talk about a situation in the last lap, what they will do if Verstappen is ahead and Piastri is ahead of Norris and can win the title if Piastri let's him through.

P3 is enough for Norris if Max wins right? This car should absolutely have the pace to reach the podium in Abu Dhabi. At the minimum.

Btw one of big issues with this race was potential undercut, but with the safety car they were given golden opportunity to just run in formation to the end of the race, locking in P1 and P3. This would leave VER at -22 and PIA at -11. Instead we get this.

I think the strategy discussion is hiding the poor weekend that Lando Norris had. Mistakes in Q2 and Q3. Loses P2 at the start (never been done in the 4 GPs held here), makes more driving errors in the race, drops 8 seconds to Piastri, and was fortunate to get the 2 pts off of Antonelli after struggling to pass him in a rocketship. The pressure got real and he melted again. (not the fake “pressure” in Mexico and Brazil when his opponents didn’t exist).
Lando did have a bad weekend but some of this is unfair. The whole right side of the grid was cleanly overtaken on the start (NOR, RUS, etc).

NOR does have a problem slicing through the field, this is one of his weaknesses.

Even with those issues, this was an easy P3 for him but instead became a tough recovery drive on the limit.

Yes P3 gives NOR the title no matter what Max or PIA do.
