Why do people keep using ChatGPT slop to post replies?

If you don't have time to write a post yourself please do us a favor and don't post this AI slop. It is just a confident sounding "story" that AI wrote according to your input, it is not true nor is it smart.

Moderators should give warnings for these posts.

You should create a separate thread to discuss the use of Ai on this forum. While I don't post this type of content myself, can you tell me where in the forum rules does it state Ai content is against the rules? Why should a moderator give warnings for this if not against the rules.

Well, this is new, so there are no hard rules.
But long, unreliable, winded, soul-less posts, if they fill too much, could be considered noise or spam. Specially if there are many of them.

We are not here to hear what AI thinks is statistically plausible, but what YOU think. So…

Some are being disallowed or removed, it is touch and go and depending on context.

But for Pete’s sake, keep them brief!

They waste everyones time. They force people to dissect them and respond to them. They contribute to the noise while offering little positive.

And then the AI user just plugs the responses and posts another huge low quality post. If it is allowed, quality will suffer.

People believe this is what AI is , but it is not nearly there yet. This is just all fed from existing data its just advanced google.
