Very weird lap comparison for Leclerc's FP2 and FP3 laps. Better top speed and overall acceleration (higher PU mode) and some corners are quicker and some are taken with the same apex speed as FP2 lap. Yet no substantial lap time improvement, 2 tenths were all on PU mode basically. Something was very wrong with tyres, braking was also poor on several occasions, quite poor grip on acceleration and braking

why is qualification this year so painful #-o

Could they have gone with a setup that was leaning a lot more to a 1 stop race? That's why there is more understeer in the car to protect the rears from over heating? Maybe they'll revert to their setup from Friday to optimise quali

This might sound optimistic of me, but I felt like Sainz was heavier than others and seeing the trace I think Leclerc just got a bad batch of tyres or just lost a lot of adhesive grip by going with 2 warm up laps. He managed 2 quick laps yesterday, but these tyres gave up on second attempt.

Actually I now see his 2nd "warm up" lap was a failed attempt and he was .25s quicker through 1-2-3 alone and he gave on T3 exit or ran into someone. He was braking later and carried more speed through entire section. I definitely feel he just lost adhesive grip on that 2nd lap and that was it

And they call it a stall. A STALL!

Maybe they went the wrong way with the setup up or perhaps it’s all track conditions?

Here’s a take

“the front no longer works, after yesterday's promising start it's a big surprise. Charles struggles not only to turn the car but especially in corner entry, which is where he loses a lot of time compared to Norris, with the gap increasing in steps at every corner. It remains to be seen how much they changed the setup in Maranello and if they eventually want to go back.”

Tyres were dead, the car can't work on dead tyres. They don't have a problem on Softs when they are the best on Mediums, like the case was in Baku too

I think the car will be there in qualifying. Let's not forget that there was big rain and the track is green but slowly will get better. Maybe Ferrari is more influenced with the track changes than the others?

Potential reprimand or penalty for Carlos for missing the bollard into the T1-3 complex…?

Barring incidents, it looks like a very easy win for Ferrari to me, I don't see McLaren getting anywhere near them...
Wow really? Misguided I feel.

Baku's loss is going to hurt even more now. It seems that was the last chance to win a race this year.
Ugh.
