Out of 1 year of domination they took 1 driver’s championship. Sounds about right.
People will always be bitching about something, and RB camp definitely takes crown in that department. I am very pleased someone put a lid on them finally... taking them out in both titles.Emag wrote: ↑07 Dec 2025, 17:29I cant believe people are being so bitchy about the tsunoda bit. He was weaving like crazy. No driver in his right mind would go side by side closely when you see that ahead of you. Perez at least was graceful and skillful about it. Tsunoda was legitemately acting like he wanted to crash him out. Totally valid penalty for him.
As for the season, it got more complicated that it needed to be, but I think Lando deserved it in the end for turning it around after Zandvoort. RedBull turned their car around in Monza, but the deficit on the first half was too big to overcome. Max had an amazing season though. One of the greatest non-wdc drives I have seen.
I am glad to see McLaren “reset” some counters these last couple of years. As a kid I remembered a fast McLaren so the 2015-2013 hiatus was horrible. McLaren belongs to the top.
Having said that, now that they got 3 titles in the last 2 years, I wouldn’t mind if Ferrari manage to turn their sh*t around next year. It’s their turn to reset those nasty counters now xp
I think FIA just released their scrutineering document and everything is fine.Luscion wrote: ↑07 Dec 2025, 17:34ah missed that, would be heartbreak if that happened but nothing from the fia about it, at least not yetFittingMechanics wrote: ↑07 Dec 2025, 17:29He is worried about post race scrutineering, like in Las Vegas.
I am not one for conspiracies but if they want to fix anything, it might be avoiding DSQ of a WDC post race.
Vettel was much more earlier in his progression. He had only had 40 races before 2010. Lando had basically 3x+ more.Emag wrote: ↑07 Dec 2025, 18:27Lando strikes to me as more of a “Jenson” type of champion. If things are tight, I dont think he can make the difference against Max and Charles, but if McLaren delivers a super car again, who knows.
Vettel felt like a better driver after 2010 though, so we might see Lando get a bit more consistent? Speed has always been there imo, he just needs to dish it out more often.
I can´t imagine 1 cm (but it can surly be true), I would say even 2 mm are on the save side.Ashwinv16 wrote: ↑07 Dec 2025, 17:00Just a final bit of technical information. Bith mclarens ran nearly 1 cm higher overall than what ther were used to in the middle of the season. After Las Vegas it dind change in Qatar but they had to rise thr car here to be safe which was why they were off the pace in the race.
Wouldn't say they were off the pace to be honest. Max was the only one with any meaningful pace advantage. Charles could burst out a bit in the first couple of laps of the stint, but once tires fell away there was no contest. Calculated compromise I would say. No need to push it to the edge when winning wasn't really necessary.Ashwinv16 wrote: ↑07 Dec 2025, 17:00Just a final bit of technical information.
