Aston Martin AMR25

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

Are all these update presentations referencing changes made since Bahrain testing, or the end of last season?

This is compared to last year. Also there is more proof from paddock pics or rear wing and front wing that the car is on the extreme end of the low drag scale. Complete Opposite to the top four teams.

Nice overhead shot. It highlights those little depressions on top of the sidepods before the water slides.

A good angle of the shape of the intake in the Astons, from the race feed when Alonso retired:

This is so unusual. Any ideas on what the reason might be for the "pinching" of the intake? I'd like to believe it's more deliberate than just following the shape of the upper indentation.

The don't need the cooling.

The wing profile at top of inlet is obscuring the full shape of the inlet which lays underneath that "overbite " from this camera angle.

You'd need a straight ahead view with camera down at the same level to fully view the aperture.

They were running flow-vis paint but only on the 'old' parts with Lance
