Is nt the name '430 Scuderia'? The F's not there.
You call it the F430 or the Ferrari 430 - the F is short for Ferrari ;)
Eh, not quite. The F doesn't stand for Ferrari. The designations are Ferrari F355, Ferrari 360 (Modena), Ferrari F430, and Ferrari 458 (Italia). Two have the F as part of the name, two don't. :)
Best regards. I guess this explains why I'm not at my post!

But it's common to add an 'F' if a car just has numbers for it's official designation.

Instead of saying the "Ferrari 430 Scuderia', you can just say the 'F430 Scudereria'.

Or the 'F360', instead of the 'Ferrari 360 Modena'.

To each his own though.

Eh, Ferrari would disagree with you. I don't want to beat our dead horse here, but the designation is the designation, and the designations are Ferrari F355, Ferrari 360, Ferrari F430, and Ferrari 458. I don't call a Mustang an "FMustang" where F stands for Ford, and I don't call a Z06 a CZ06 where the C stands for Chevy.

Small issue, but at least it should be correct...

I tend to agree.
I haven't heard or read 360 referred to as "F360".

I think the "F" came from the great names of F40 and F50 and also that of "355 F1". It sounds more to do with "Formula" than "Ferrari".

But - no big deal!

In 355 F1 the "F1" bit used to stand for the paddle operated gearbox version. And, yeah, Ferrari may disagree, but I've heard/read about F360, F550 etc etc a million times. Here's one:

Actually, this is why it's called the F360, this model. You drive along and you go 'ffffffff' and you do a 360! (James May)
