I think Flavio is telling the world that he dosen't see championship material in Kovalainen. As we can read from all this courting to Alosno, for Flavio Heikki is obviously a good, pure racer, but not extra class like Fernando...he rates even Piquet Jr higher. Or maybe he's just not so much into the Finn because of x-reasons...

Considering his early commitment to the brand, record and numerous impressive performances, I believe it's unfair to Heikki to be pushed away.

Maybe big boss Flavio knows best, but I believe Heikki will prove him wrong.

icef1mkd, I dont think it has to do with how good or not heikki is. I think its more to do with sponsorship and/or contractual issues with 'nando
Long experience has taught me this about the status of mankind with regards to matters requiring thought. The less people know and understand about them, the more positively they attempt to argue concerning them; while on the other hand, to know and understand a multitude of things renders men cautious in passing judgement upon anything new. - Galileo..

With the news of F1ndia giving Fissi and Ralf a test, I'd say that FA will no doubt be in the Renault alongside Piquet Jr.. Heikki in the Macca..

Yep,

He's just waiting to see if Renault will be punished as heavily as McLaren before he signs anything. Renault will be much more hurt than Macca if they also get a 100mil fine. Which they should.

Fernando Alonso spent an entire day at Honda's Brackley factory this week and even had a seat fitting, reports from Germany on Thursday said.

Sport Bild claims that the double world champion, who is still yet to commit to a team for 2008 after splitting with McLaren, is 'nearing an agreement' with the Japanese outfit that recently tabbed Ross Brawn as its new team boss.

It is reported that the first approach to Alonso about possibly joining Honda was made by F1 chief executive Bernie Ecclestone, after the previously Nick Fry-led team embarrassingly netted just six points with its RA107 package this year.

The publication said Alonso would take the place of Rubens Barrichello; the Brazilian veteran who would move to Honda's satellite team Super Aguri in 2008 as Takuma Sato's new team-mate.

Alonso's manager, Luis Garcia Abad, on Thursday was not contactable.

Honda denied having ANY negotiations with Alonso.
"The 2008 line-up was confirmed in July and we have no intention to chage anything" - the Honda representative said.
f1news.ru (sorry it's in russian) But it seems that any german media having the word 'BILD" in it's name can hardly be trusted :P
