I hate this rain when we've done a "Good" job in qualifying at Monaco were the risk of contact with a barrier is so high. Only increases the chances of going backwards.

Not sure why Ocon got a 5 sec penality. I didn't think he deserved it. To add insult to injury Hamilton made sure he'd lose positions.

It seems the car was set up for a wet race, but perhaps Alonso was saving the engine before he did that 1:15 lap. Ocon's penalty is unfair

Too odd. Also I missed the moment HAM passed Esteban by pitstop.
Anyway Baku must be Alpine's circuit with a race set up

Any reason why Baku might suit better?

I thought Ferrari would be mighty there in the middle sector with traction but RBR mega on the straight?

A522 is also mega on the straights when they shift on 8 gear. Third sector is comfy. Even asphalt is smooth there, tyre deg will be a task

Interesting to see how they go for sure, a good test for the rear wing!

Baku can be a strange circuit though and last year even Ferrari were good in quali thanks to their downforce in the middle and McLaren, who were bullets in a straight line, were nowhere

We'll probably keep hearing about "increasing the budget CAP" but Haas/Steiner has come down against it now. That makes it 4 against (Haas, Alpine,Williams and Alfa) vs 6 fore. They need 8 votes fore for it to get approved. So it's effectively dead.

Wouldn’t be surprised if Williams cracks under the pressure from Mercedes , and Haas is almost 100% reliant on Ferrari, Alpine is the only Team against this who can’t realistically be pressured into signing, don’t discount it yet

The only team to heitate to saying no was Haas. Everyone else was "No F* way."

HAAS has had a rather expensive time of it this year so far, its understandable they hesitate.

'Zo was told to save tires, and did an admirable job of it. No reason to be on the raged edge when doing so, the negative outcome so massively outweighs the positive Image
