Interesting quote from Max:
Going into more detail on the power unit side, he added: "You always have to take into account the temperature of the engine itself, but also the conditions. That always has a big influence on engine performance. I think that’s an area where we can still make a step."

in other words,
"we need to find a way to run the engine at a higher-core-temperature stable equilibrium, than the current operating point. This will mean playing with cooling, which in turn will depend on the environment - ambient T & P at the time of race."

At a Viaplay event this week, Verstappen was asked about the new rules again. When asked if he'd rather drive at his limit, he was honest: "Yes, but that's not always the best option right now, so you have to adapt. That's not the problem; you adapt if you're smart and think things through. Is that the most fun? No."
'It has nothing to do with results'

According to Verstappen, potential victories and titles won't suddenly make him like the rules: "It has nothing to do with my results. Ultimately, it has to stay fun. Even if you're the best in your field, it has to stay fun. If you don't enjoy going to work anymore, it won't go well for long. I think it's the same for everyone. It wouldn't be nice if you didn't enjoy your job."

Will Verstappen retire earlier?

However, Verstappen now admits that the new rules won't force him into a faster retirement: "Hopefully, I'll stay in Formula 1 for a long time. That's always very difficult to estimate. It's all difficult to estimate anyway, including where we are now. Hopefully, it won't be too bad, but some circuits will definitely be better than others. I hope we all enjoy it a bit more on a Sunday."

Verstappen achieved the best 0-50km/h time. 0-50km/h is without the MGU-K. Above 50km/h is with the MGU-K.

That's an epic vid. Also it's somewhat sad to see that Craig Skinner was there at the fire up of the engine, and now he's gone from the team. I wonder what made him to quit so suddenly.

I wasn't sure if that's been Craig Skinner... but it seemed to be him.
But yeah ... very weird timing.
I remember Rob Marshall was on the podium in Melbourne and a few days later it's been announced he's leaving the team.

That was obviously a farewell present. Believe the rbr - marshall split was entirely amicable. With the benefit of hindsight we can probably say that they missed a trick by not pursuing a lengthy gardening leave in this particular instance.

Agree.
I wonder if he would be still with the team as CTO, should AN has left before him.
