It will be interesting to see if they have fixed their correlation issue since last year.

Most likely not, they loose a lot in the corners, and by the time they reach the straights, they'll be in DRS distance (in the unlikely event they somehow get to be in front of a Mercedes).
I'm expecting every top team (and most of the midfield) to bring updates this weekend.
If they have a balance issue the benefits of having a car in the proper setup window will overcome the loss of the speed on the straights.
Specially on this track, each drs strait has two slow speed corners right before it, so any low speed cornering issues will be magnified.C Plinius Secundus wrote: ↑23 Apr 2019, 20:06Most likely not, they loose a lot in the corners, and by the time they reach the straights, they'll be in DRS distance (in the unlikely event they somehow get to be in front of a Mercedes).
They were talking about the size of the slots (which had been opened up to a greater extent), rather than their mere presence.MtthsMlw wrote: ↑23 Apr 2019, 22:23The slot in front of the rear tyre has been there since launch. They tried a version without it, that also had 3 vertical fins attached to it, during winter testing.
Not sure about that little slot next to the long vertical fin which can only be seen in the drawing though.
I can't tell a difference between this one from testing and the recent one from China.zibby43 wrote: ↑23 Apr 2019, 22:44They were talking about the size of the slots (which had been opened up to a greater extent), rather than their mere presence.MtthsMlw wrote: ↑23 Apr 2019, 22:23The slot in front of the rear tyre has been there since launch. They tried a version without it, that also had 3 vertical fins attached to it, during winter testing.

"The only significant update on the Ferrari in China was to the rear of the car, with this extensive opening up of the slots around the rear tyre."
In my opinion, the slots look noticeably larger in the China photo compared to the image you shared.MtthsMlw wrote: ↑23 Apr 2019, 22:48I can't tell a difference between this one from testing and the recent one from China.zibby43 wrote: ↑23 Apr 2019, 22:44They were talking about the size of the slots (which had been opened up to a greater extent), rather than their mere presence.MtthsMlw wrote: ↑23 Apr 2019, 22:23The slot in front of the rear tyre has been there since launch. They tried a version without it, that also had 3 vertical fins attached to it, during winter testing.
