Tires are too soft. It's going to be a 3 stopper.

What makes you think so? Same selection as last year, with one stoppers.

From what I can see it is really hard to get 20 laps out of the C3, so that alone is kind of forcing two stops.

13, 20, 20 is going to be tricky to do.
11, 14, 14, 14 is much easier to do but maybe too much time lost in the pits.

Also, look forward to grey skies all weekend.

Hmm, I'd say they who can do Q2 on mediums will easily do a 1-stop. I think even a S-H could work if a gap is big enough to manage.
Pit delta is slow and close to 30s .. but fair enough, DRS + slipstream is powerful to make up places. Pole is non-desireable outhere, but we all know that ..

Passing will be possible with the large pace disparity, and the undercut will be powerful.

What do you use to make these calculations? I see them posted regularly but no idea how much credence I should give them.

I think that this could be a close one (certainly for qualifying), fingers-crossed for a good clean race although I can see the potential for a clash either through or at the end of the big 180 degree corner.

Am I right in saying that both DRS zones have been shortened from last year? First DRS zone last year started before the kink which is turn 1. And the second DRS zone started closer to the exit of turn 10.

Wonder what effect that will have.

Judging by the link the map is from 2017.
[...]racing/2017/Russia/_jcr_content/circuitMap[...]

The site for the race still contains the 2018 map.

Track map from 2020.
This year's will be published here but isn't available yet.

I doubt they will change it.

Judging by CH reaction on received penalty, I'm suspecting that they will take engine penalty at this race.
