You needed two hot laps to get enough temp in the tyres. Merc gambled a bit by ensuring everyone else pitted before them. Not sure Hamilton or Bottas would have gotten enough time to get the laps in when they decided to come in

Hamilton chokes hard today, but still easy win tomorrow. Obviously mclaren will be the only car posing any serious trouble, but over whole distance I dont think they can hold out.

Hamilton has a lot to worry about with Russell who is doing a magnificent job.

Yes! That's the "sticky wet" I was looking for! The amount of car control on those slicks was top-tier. I bet those onboards will look amazing as well. Netflix got a great episode coming...😏

IF they all get through the first corner without incident ... it could get messy

We'll see how fast the tires wear out. Bottas shows his skill in damp conditions once again.

This is going to be a great race. I think Hamilton takes an engine, and starts from the pitlane tomorrow. He knows he will catch and pass Max, so any points close it down, and fastest lap could be the META in such a tight Championship.

I think Norris wins this.

Oh well. Lewis feeling the pressure from George already. He has to make sure he comes out unscathed after turn 1. I doubt George will just step away and let him through.

The Ferrari’s the faster race car in the dry. Worst case scenario for Lewis is that Sainz takes the lead at the start and he’s stuck behind the two Mercedes powered cars. He’ll get past them in the dry but Carlos could build a bit of a gap in the meantime.

It would be amusing for the 2022 working relationship, if Russell and Hamilton clash and both go out. Would be good points for Verstappen too, potentially. :)

Great job by Norris, Sainz and Leclerc. =D>

Shame that Ricciardo seems to be struggling with the McLaren again.

I indeed also think Lewis will have a hard time tomorrow to win this. And that’s good, not because it’s Lewis but because a win shouldn’t be a walk in the park imo
