If its dry, I dont think we can put much of a fight against Hamilton. Russell will no doubt let Ham through, the Ferrari is easy to overtake and Hamilton can just go for the undercut. We will see.

Dan with his monster starts might make up 1 or 2 positions.

McLaren P1, Ferrari P2, Williams P3! What year is this?

If its dry it will be a merc 1-2, they are on another planet here. 3rd place is a realistic target though!

And a rightful Pole Position on merit unlike the lucky other teams. Daniel could have gone better but still P5.

Bizarrely pole here might not be the best because of the slipstream effect on the long run to turn 2.
I was thinking last night how it would be bad if a Mclaren started on the second row....

Well that Fork my friend is becoming a good luck charm. I would say it's best to keep it.

You should be a motivational speaker
Q: (Stefano Mancini – La Stampa) Kimi, will you help Vettel to win his championship this year?
Kimi Raikkonen: I can only drive one car, obviously.

I am very happy for pole, but to be honest this is the worst place to start first. Carlos will probably be in the lead after the start. Slipstream OP.

Great to have pole though, and Lando deserves it this year. He has been amazing.

Considering Sainz starts on the dirty side I think Lando has a good chance of leading the start of the race. Let's see if the Williams or Lewis pressures Sainz to destroy his tyres. In any case I am hoping for conditions that will benefit Mclaren to get a second victory. This is so much 1997 and that gives me tremendous positive feeling for next year considering what happened last time.

Watch out for Dan starting on the clean side. He's been a rocket off the line.

Tremendous qualifying from the boys- Lando with a storming lap!

Sure pole leaves you a little vulnerable at the start but hey- who’d have thought we’d be in the hunt this week?!

If Dan gets through Lewis, and Lando keeps P1 after the first lap, then I am afraid we will going to have another nail biting race tomorrow :D

That’s true… But, the impact of Pole for the Team and for a driver like Lando is huge… Braking that glass ceiling and validating what you are doing builds momentum and increases motivation… This bodes well for next year!

Well, the MCL35M is still a very slippery car which bodes well for the start… He just needs a good start
