Crazy that's a big surprise these days.
I don't think so. Nothing wrong with Tyrrell, Stewart and Toleman joining the group of top teams -- bearing in mind two of these had previous iterations, traditional Renault & Mercedes works teams from their home country before they adopted a British gariste team structure. Why should there only be three and not six? :)

After all, other historic top teams like Lotus and Brabham are gone. :(

But Benetton, i.e., Alpine, was also one of the top teams in the 90's? :?:

OMG, again Cheaterton gets outqualified by Russel, this is getting humiliating.... :?

The guy has confortably the best car of the grid and only qualifies 4th. He´s lucky his team mate is rubbish otherwise would have lost another position.
You trolls realise that Lewis can still win tomorrow right? It was actually a bad result for red bull who shouldn't have taken the engine penalty now
Hmm. I hope this is the case. On the other hand one could argue that had Max not taken the penalty he would be on Pole.... maybe... But at the same time due to the conditions the Merce Boys could have equally binned it (Lewis Pretty much binned it but he has the luck of the Gods), so i think it's a good decision by RB.

It's a bit disappointing that Perez didn't really make him self useful to RedBull's cause today.

Yeah, nice observation.

I think Bottas will struggle even again GIO, btw...... There are too many great drivers emerging like Piastri, Doohan, Hauger..... Valteri will not deserve to remain in F1 in the next couple of years and I think Finland will no longer have a driver on the grid, rather soon.

Also true, but I was referring to seeing a top 3 with Mclaren, Ferrari and Williams, not necessarily which ones were the ultimate best

So why did Red Bull change Max's engine so soon, they should've made the decision after qualifying because he would sitting P4 now after his penalty and Lewis P5. Could be crucial in the end #-o

Because they are going to have to take a penalty somewhere, and since they can overtake here it's a good candidate.

It's a fast track with a Fresh engine, they will do well and not really lose too much ground.

Max still needs to take the new PU somewhere.

Mistake by LH but even without it i dont think they would have come in early enough for pole. He would have to pit 1 lap earlier.
But its not looking to back for a win for mercedes. LH can win from P4 and can be in P1 by lap 10.
Interesting qualifying. Not my favourite when gambling takes place, but its good to have some good cars at the front.
The good thing for merc is perez is behind.
For Sure!!

Assuming he got pole that is.

LH just gave an interview on my local channel and said he´s very frustrated and that "losing pole because I crashed into the pitwall is ridiculous. I´m not feeling well about it"

Yeah Toto just said Ham crash had no effect - wouldn't have got the extra lap so just a bad timing issue on Merc.

Amazed he didn't do a track rod !
