The team should have been more directive towards Lando. They were too afraid to make the call. They have much more information than the driver and should make the decision at a moment like this. Lando made the wrong judgment, but the team should had taken more responsibility. Both Daniel and Lando drove a great race. Could have been another 1-2..

Well today was a matter of clear luck. You can't know if the Rain would stop or continue. It's 50-50. In any case good weekend despite the set back. We still got more points than Ferrari.

Yet another lucky race for Ferrari.

Lucky how ? Lap 50 it was Norris 1st but both Ferrari's were in front of Ric. McLaren still ended up with more points than Ferrari in the constructors. If anything it was sideways from a McLaren/Ferrari perspective. Obviously it sucks for Norris but that has nothing to do with Ferari getting lucky, they didn't.

Lucky by the fact that Sainz got a podium he did not deserve as the car was nowhere near podium speed in Russia. We didnt get as many points as I hoped we would get.

Lando's fault and the team is almost equally at fault. They saw the radar and should have pushed him to pit. But Lando was adamant so there wasn't much they could do. How did Max jump Daniel and Sainz? Daniel was ahead.

I am actually tearing up right now. Just the circumstances of the whole thing. Lando was perfect today. Dominating every other car that wasn't a Merc (well Hamilton). To lose it like this just hurts.

Edit: And for people blaming the team. You are severely over-estimating our capabilities of weather prediction. The team has educated guesses, but they can't pinpoint everything super accurately. If the driver is telling you that he is fine on-track, then you trust the driver. Lando just had a bad call today, but he will learn from this.

I never thought rain would get that powerful in just 1 lap. Just sheer luck today. It was 50-50 and could might as well stopped raining.

Well I'm pretty sure Lando's first win will come. Maybe not this year but next year. Still the car has the capacity to get 3rd place as seen so far.

Lando overruled the team. Nothing you can do. He thought he knew better and it bit him badly

I know we are all gutted… His youth got on display today… But, even when it clearly didn’t work out, a part of me likes the aggressiveness and fearless that he had today, he had a victory in front of him and he went for it, he gambled and lost, but Kudos to him for trying.

This was extremely painful to watch, and however painful it is for us and mostly Lando this is an excellent learning experience for Lando he will never make the same mistake, anyone remember Hamilton's mistake at the chinese GP way back when when he fluffed it on pit entry, on numerous occasions Hamilton has used that experience to his benefit.

You have to take the positive from today. Great pace from Lando, practically the same as Mercedes. And above all, learn for the future, both Lando and the team. You must learn things like today so as not to repeat them.
