Tough weekend coming up for McLaren relative to the recent successes. Corners are not the MCL35M's friend.
I think that McLaren does well in high speed corners but it's not good on slow speed corners, except maybe if it is point and shoot style like Austria. I'm no expert but I don't see Turkey is going to be very bad or very good for the car.
I agree, I think 3rd fastest team this weekend. Not sure if it rains... A Norris win in the rain would be great redemption though. Would love to see that.
Lando has been absolutely amazing in the rain though. He was extremely quick in Spa, probably set for pole if he hadn't binned it. He was quite quick in Russia as well. Realistically, a P3 was possible in quali but he got pole on changing conditions. And even during the race. He was the fastest car on track with slicks for that first part of the rain. Then the showers came (pain) and he couldn't keep it on the road anymore.
So yeah, unless something screws him over, Lando should do very good on a wet race.
Will Buxton calling for Lando to win this weekend from Lewis and Charles...HMMMMMM...
I remember when Buxton wouldn't shut up about Perez and how he would be the next big thing. Buxton goes with the hype, let's not give him too much credit.
Looks like Pirelli reaction to poor grip last year with a softer selection could be an issue. Some teams including McLaren struggling to improve on the softs. We look really quick on hards. Points to a Mercedes track.
