Could this be a good track for RB?

This is going to be a a very interesting weekend for Ferrari. Both drivers on the new PU without any penalties. Looks to be sunny, no rain in the forecast, temps around 30°C. It’s a pretty fast track. Let’s see where this upgrade really stands compared to the rest of the field.

Just as long as its dry. I have had enough wet races to last a long while now.

That's fair enough, your preference, I can see the attraction it does make it more driver prevalent.
I like to see car v car on level terms.

I remember feeling that in the Vettel VS Alonso era...

But moisture is no leveler anymore.
The tires are too picky on temperature and the cars manage temperature too precise. Just take the Merc, it is a bit of a coin toss as sometimes they get the tire into the window like in Turkey this year and sometimes not at all like start of the race in Turkey last year.

There are, of course, drivers that perform better than others in the wet. Does not necessarily mean they are the better driver overall...but in sum, water is no leveler, much more a coin toss.

Yup. Lance Stroll is usually decent in wet/damp/changeable conditions, but then he had a total mare in Hungary.
However, as with most things the cream rises to the top. It's no coincidence Hamilton, Verstappen, Alonso are the ones usually regarded as the rainmasters. They are good in any conditions, nine times out of ten.

And yes, pedantic folk on whatever side of a fence you might fall, I'm sure you can be clever enough find a wet race where Hamilton or Verstappen made a mistake or didn't ace the field to vainly try and 'prove they aren't all that', but then really at the end of the day you're just showing yourself up.

The part I liked about the inters was that there was some concept of tire warmup again - although I guess technically the concern was graining. It makes me look forward to the removal of tire blankets, if that is still in the pipeline.
