Post

Take big look at ferrari "YOU ARE USING LAST YEARS CAR AS WELL SO YOU CANT TALK" sounds like ferrari might be sitting at the back of the grid with minardi on sunday and they dont want minardi to beat them so realy they dont opose a threat to any one. so let them race for the aussies sake.

Seems that Red Bull is also thinking of removing their approval.

yeah to quote red bull:

"They(rules) are there for a reason and we all have to abide by them. My position and that of Red Bull is that nothing would be more frustrating for us in a debut race to finish ninth with a Minardi ahead of us and a point taken from us."

what the hell is he talking about?
the 2004 minardi is better than 2005 redbull?

Well Minardi has just passed a few moments ago scrutineering though it seems that it can only go on track with Ferraris signature on the agreement....in any case Red Bull has already signed so it seems the signature cannot be removed!

I'd suspect that Minardi might have problems for the next 3 races....since they're only taking the new Minardi to San Marino....they might have to go through the whole process again for the next couple of races!

yes, in terms of downforce, 04 minardi has loads more than 05 redbull.

IMO when you can no longer satisfy the regulation(financially in this case), you ceased being fit for F1. Regardless how poor Minardi, Jordan...etc have been, they have not had this problem. But now Minardi do have a problem. Sure the state of the sports has problem, but you shouldn't use it AS AN EXCUSE to not follow the rule, and effectively blackmailing the governing body....

Ferrari might look like the bad guy on this again, but they have every reason to.....

I have great sympathy for Minardi as one of my favourite teams, but with the long notice they were given of the new rules they should not have turned up at Melbourne without a fully tested (if only for safety and not performance) aero set up. They should sit out the race on safety grounds and return when they can comply with the current regulations.

I'm divided on this issue. On the other hand I would like to see minardi race, and the rules were dictated ridiculously late for their budget, but then again you couldn't have teams racing to their own set of rules, no matter how poor the team and how little of a threat they actually are to anyone.
I really don't know who's side to be on in this one.

Well McLaren and Williams agreed to Minardi's car... I can't see why Ferrari can't. Rules are rules, but even the other top teams can see an exception. They know they aren't a threat...

I am more disappointed by Paul Stoddart's attitude toward all this. He is the one that needs help here, yet he was the one demending that they be allowed to race, and if not he is not afraid to take "legal action" against FIA. I don't see his ground of being so "tough" as he is clearly the one that initated the problem....

Blackmailing deserve no sympathy from anybody....

The point isnt that minardi don't have the money to make a new car, they can still make it financially. Their problem is the late rules, they dont have the financial strength of any of its competitors. Ferrari will not loose to minardi, get over yourselves and LET 'EM RUN
