Incorrect. When you take the first new element over your allocation for any PU component, it's 10 places.
Any new component after that is a five-place penalty.
So, if HAM ever takes a 5th ICE only, it’ll be 5 places.

Bottas lost his Monza engine, so he was probably down to two again. Same for Hamilton, I guess, so another change may indeed be incoming as well, especially as those Mercedes engines are reported to massively lose power after 4 races.
Works both ways Verstappen has already taken the 10, so his next ICE would only be 5 spots.Zynerji wrote: ↑22 Oct 2021, 19:35Should be 15. That's a silly as heck rule!
Should be 15 for them all.godlameroso wrote: ↑22 Oct 2021, 19:36Works both ways Verstappen has already taken the 10, so his next ICE would only be 5 spots.
I really don't think you should climb a tower where the elevator broke down because the ground is unstable...El Scorchio wrote: ↑22 Oct 2021, 19:15Interesting- thanks! Yeah, I think I'd not want to lug my gear all the way up or down there either TBH. Shame the circuit isn't more photo friendly.Hoffman900 wrote: ↑22 Oct 2021, 19:05I have pro motorsports photo friends. Clients often want a shot at some point up there (say a race start or even a cool pan) but it’s a commitment because getting up and down eats most of a session.El Scorchio wrote: ↑22 Oct 2021, 19:03
Ha! Thanks. Gawd that would be awful. Credit to anyone that wants to walk up there, but I bet the view of the track is wonderful. (Assuming you may then know first hand?)
Most of them also hate photographing COTA. Poor sight lines / framing, need big lenses, and a PITA to get around to shot areas.
you might be right. This is where MCS has been so dominant in the metric of team performance.
