Ferrari got that first Q3 battle but there is one more. Let's hope the wind that picked up doesn't affect our car a lot. The difference is less than half a tenth.

Felt we had more pace in Q1 and Q2.

The difference is less than half a tenth. Is the wind affecting us more than Ferrari on our strong fast corners? We were definately faster on Q1 and Q2.

If we can't beat Ferrari here, I am afraid we won't beat them anywhere. Only luck can help us get third at this point. They are just too fast.

Thought Mclaren would have done slightly better than that especially after Q 1&2.

Looks like when it’s a ‘strong’ track for Mclaren, Ferrari beat them and when it’s a weak track for Mclaren, Ferrari smash them🙈

Ferrari had a slight edge, but it's close enough for it to be race on tomorrow. Going to be an exciting battle.

I would wait till the last race to make a verdict. In any case even if the team finishes 4th they are doing very well beating a team that at the moment has double our budget. Let's see what Ferrari, Red Bull and Mercedes can do when their budget equalises with Mclarens. I am confident we can crush them with the same budget.

In any case the difference was a tenth who could have been translated in a mistake. Who's to say that our drivers laps were perfect. Not to mention tomorrow the Ferrari tyres might die quickly compared to Mclaren who is gentle to the tyres.

I concur

Mexico maybe our last ‘strong’ track till Abu Dhabi but the fight will be well over by then if current form prevails....

On the other hand Lando was quite competitive on the medium runs today....

Carlos is starting on the softs too....

Very close with FER, I am curious about tomorrow. Impressed with RIC, I did not expect him to beat NOR.
Sainz is starting on softs, so it will certainly be interesting race.

Actually from the last 6 races with this one 5 of them are like Austin and 4 of them have even more straights and fast curves that slow ones compared to Austin.

Sainz won't hold much with the softs considering how tyres die very quickly on the Ferrari cars. Our target is to pass Leclerc at the start with our good starts and pushing for Sainz.

Still cheer up guys. Even if we lose 3rd place we will know that we gained an 1-2 by merit, a pole by merit and lost another win by sheer badluck. Also beating a team that has double our budget says a lot for our resource management. Let's see what can Mercedes, Red Bull and Ferrari do when their budget equalizes with Mclaren next year.

It's not a matter of IF. It's a matter of when Mclaren gets that championship. We are coming.
