Merc were hopelessly outpaced. Perez almost passed Hamilton ffs. I hope that puts to bed which is the faster car (press x to doubt).

+16s ahead. Insane performance from Red Bull, bravo.
It was up to almost 20 seconds at one point. If Max wasn't mucking around and pulled another 3-4 seconds, he could've pitted, come out ahead and go for the fastest lap. They weren't going to take that risk of course, just to make a point they managed to pull a pit's gap on a merc.

Silly red bull still don't understand they will never overtake mercedes on the straight with 10 kmh slower car. should have just pitted for fastest lap.
Trying to put pressure on Hamilton, I'd say. The car is fast enough to have a chance of an on track overtake against the Merc here. It was very close as it was.

Start was key. Even with one of the longest straights the heating issue makes overtaking impossible

Verstappen cunning. He was trying to keep Bottas from getting fastest lap
Exactly that. Race leader lapping so blue flags. 😂
And that why I don’t like this kid’s antics.

Casually destroying Bottas fastest lap attempt by slowing down and letting him unlap before calling on the radio that Bottas shouldn’t have unlapped himself…

Verstappen should not have won this race. Really he should have been stuck in 3rd not able to pass in the slip stream. What a performance.
That's because bottass gave Max the racing line at the start. My wife, who only watches 2 or 3 races a year was like what is he doing......

Yea ... there has been a discussion about what would be a "dominant" performance in previous race threads and i think for once we can actually use the word.

Simply the fastest car, helped by a brain fade from Bottas at the start, meant he had no worries here. He cruised to the win.

Perez pitting a lap after Hamilton would've been a higher chance for a second place. It is too hard to overtake here.

With that out of the way, Verstappen and RBR were flawless and Merc have had yet another disastrous race day operation.

I know they were trying to put pressure on him, but this "pressure" only ever works against bottas, never against hamilton. They should know Perez doesn't have enough pace and just go for that extra point. Has Perez ever overtaken Hamilton on track? No, he didn't. He's just not fast enough. If Verstappen was in his situation then maybe he can make it possible, but Perez? not a chance.

Gasly has been a stand out this year. Just quietly going about his work. The new Honda mule has really help the AT too and Gasly has made the most of it.

He is obviously trolling. The fact that Checo was even close to Hamilton shows what a dominant car the Red Bull is when it’s in the right setup window. Championship is now over.
