Yuki drove completely off the track at Turn 10 to ensure he did not block either of them, but unfortunately Sergio went off also and then Max backed off seeing the cloud of dust thrown up by his team-mate.

I can't believe they openly said that, they could get Yuki in trouble.

Drivers must make every reasonable effort to use the track at all times and may not leave the
track without a justifiable reason.
I don't think the stewards would consider leaving the track to ensure you don't hinder a sister team a justifiable reason.

Max <----> Fernando. :)
Fernando is a great guy and great driver. I still don't understand why Red Bull continued to evaluate Albon, instead of signing Alonso when they had the chance before Renault pounced. A #14 Red Bull - Honda would have been great to see, and I think it unlikely that Alonso would have been too far off the pace at all! :)

With no disrespect to Sergio "Checo" Perez who is a great fit with RBR, I am not sure the #11 Red Bull is as quick as a #14 may have been. :?:
alonso and honda has a lot of bad blood between them. lets say he was never an option.
RBR had started talks with Alonzo and were actually headed that way when Perez's had that Sakhir performance. It turned RBR on to him.

Constructors championship is just about even, great day for RBR, great race from Perez, he came good just in time to take both championships. Verstappen now with 19 points. 4 races left, if Verstappen wins one more, that's 26pt buffer. It's getting close to the end, but don't think about that, it's only over when it's over, don't change your approach until the checkered flag in Abu Dhabi.

Next race might be the more risky one, Brazil is always special, and wet

Fantastic job my Max. =D>

Couldn't have imagined the start any better. Checo should have been a bit more decisive or RB should have been more aggressive to pit him first. Good result in the end.

Great result and impeccable first corner, restart, pace was untouchable. Really did not expect this to turn out well, but it did! Congrats all! 😃

Very very good race by both drivers. Perez had the pace for P2 but just could not get close enough on the straights.

Thanks BOT for rolling out the red carpet for VER... :)

Unfortunately not a 1-2 of RB, hopefully we'll see that sometime.

Nice to see that they had their race setup right for the last two races. Hopefully this is a trend.

I think a first place in sprint and main race in Brazil and it will do with 2nd places in the rest of the races, not ?

It will remain to be close. Merc has fresh engines, Bottas will be in the mix from now on.

Turn 11 in Bahrain was Mercedes corner, just like 4, 10, and 12 in Interlagos. RB should have an advantage through the Senna esses, and 6-9.

Brazil got some kerbs that pay dividends if you can crash them.

Red bull was little less agressive today, they could have taken lead in constructors today. I do not know why they did not pit perez before hamilton (may be got bluffed again by Target+6) msg or should have pitted him in very next lap when hamilton was stuck in traffic.

Still got a few races to get that figure correct.
