Mediums were the wrong call. No clue why they risked it. Daniel was faster than Ocon in the first half of the race when they had the same tires. Mediums just fell off hard, particularly the rears.SmallSoldier wrote: ↑05 Dec 2021, 22:03The first red flag really compromised Lando’s race, but good job getting back into the points… Interesting that Daniel couldn’t get Ocon, I thought the MCL35M had more pace than the Alpine today, to finish more than 10 seconds away from Ocon it’s surprising, but he did a great job to bring home a 5th place and holding Bottas for as long as he did.
He didn’t had any Hard Tires, they had 2 for the event… Used one set during practice, started the race on Hards… He would have to go back to the tires with which he started the race, which were pretty old by the time they decided to change tires… Mediums was the only option at that pointEmag wrote: ↑05 Dec 2021, 22:55Mediums were the wrong call. Oh well, Daniel had a good race considering the circumstances. Lando got fu*ked hard though.
Mclaren have struggled with making the right tyre call since inter-gate in SochiEmag wrote: ↑05 Dec 2021, 22:55Mediums were the wrong call. No clue why they risked it.
