If you split the track into 3 equal segments on this picture, which section is Verstappen predominately in?

Credit Phil for the photos...

And here which was maybe a second before? Why move accross to the left?

https://temp.conceptics.com/f1_jeddah/01.gif

Words fail me with what I saw yesterday in several incidents, I don`t care for either of them really, Charlie would be spinning in his grave, god rest his soul!
If you go by the times in the video, looks to be about 5 seconds before, not 1.

He said, "maybe a second..." Anyway, how is that consequential to the discussion?

you are trolling, look a video from above, and his camera on mercedes is on left side and lens is making distortion of what is seen, so sorry 🤷

The kettle calling the pot black.
I see you conveniently sidestepping the Road&Track article.

Are the mods just going to allow the blatant emoji trolling to continue?

I see the Verstappen army has risen again. Somehow making braking in the middle of the track and pushing people off “good and proper racing”.
Took them a day, bit long…

The camera is barely off the centreline, and the lens distortion is even across the field of view. You are the troll here.

i haven't read that article, but i don't like people suggesting Max got only slap on a wrist from FIA, he got what he deserved, members here say all fault is on him because he got penalty and Ham is full inocent. Judges knew what was going on, they had all data and made their decision fairly, like it or not, it is what it is

I think an interesting point is Verstappen was fully aware of where Hamilton was when he applied the brakes. He said in the press conference something along the lines of "I saw he was tucked up behind me and I didn't understand..."

He asked "why move across to the left about a second after". 5 seconds is a lot of track to cover going 250+ kph. Looked like the before shot was coming into the turn.

here is the track just before the accident. Looked like there was room to pass. I personally don't care either way. I'm not saying it wasn't an a-hole move by Verstappen, but Hamilton is not as innocent in all this either.

I see Verstappen ¼ on the right, then moving towards the middle (the track narrows there as well) to about ½ - ⅓ of the track while braking with 2.4G.

Weaving and braking.

Lewis didn't know Max was giving the place back, I'd say it's the FIA trying to cover over the fact Masi made some real blunders
during the race yesterday. If the fault is anyone's then I'd place it at Masi's door.
Of course he did know #-o ... if he actually didn't know he would have overtaken Verstappen. Verstappen could've a sudden failure... you won't hang around to find out would you??
He deliberately held back not to pass the DRS line and played dumbfounded, works much better to fool people.
Have you missed how Verstappen thinks?

Verstappen has a sudden failure as you say and he’s just going to let his title contender sail past and in doing almost certainly claim the WDC? Come on you can’t be that naive. This Max Verstappen, there is no way on earth he has a failure and then allows Hamilton to finish to pretty much sew up the WDC. Hamilton knows this. To quote a certain F1 commentator Hamilton was treating Verstappen’s car like the back end of a Donkey.
