The Schumacher red looks like pink almost. The SF71H had the perfect shade of red, that or slightly darker would be perfect to me
Wow this red really pops! I viewed this same post on my OLED screen mobile phone, an I am now viewing it on my IPS monitor. The Red looks crazy bright now! I think it is because the monitor is calibrated for DCI P3 colour gamut, but most Web images are sRGB gamut. So the monitor is showing more red than it should. I think the phone might produce more realistic colours but I gotta check.wowgr8 wrote: ↑05 Feb 2022, 12:03The Schumacher red looks like pink almost. I've read somewhere that indeed they wanted a colour like that!jumpingfish wrote: ↑07 Feb 2022, 09:13I guess if Ferrari named the F1-75 in honor of the 75th anniversary of their car 125s, then the color can be close to it.

I also read about it, will hope that the color will really turn out like this bloody red.Jambier wrote: ↑07 Feb 2022, 11:50I've read somewhere that indeed they wanted a colour like that!jumpingfish wrote: ↑07 Feb 2022, 09:13I guess if Ferrari named the F1-75 in honor of the 75th anniversary of their car 125s, then the color can be close to it.

I really really hope that 2022 is Ferrari come back, at least 4 wins in the year, we need Ferrari strong
That choice because of TV was made in 2019? Or earlier? I remember SF90 was a matte pale red, the most nondescript color in their palette.Just_a_fan wrote: ↑07 Feb 2022, 12:02Didn't the lighter red get chosen for TV reasons. It stands out better, or something like that. I'm reminded of a quote from Chris Rea where he asked his dad what colour the Ferraris were (watching on black and white TV). "Red, son, blood red". That 125's red looks like blood red to me. The current cars don't. I like that darker red, I have to say.
I remember when they changed back in the late 1990s (?) I think. They went to a lighter red from their earlier darker shades. It was a while ago so can't remember exactly. They have changed the red a few times over the years.jumpingfish wrote: ↑07 Feb 2022, 13:22I also read about it, will hope that the color will really turn out like this bloody red.Jambier wrote: ↑07 Feb 2022, 11:50I've read somewhere that indeed they wanted a colour like that!jumpingfish wrote: ↑07 Feb 2022, 09:13I guess if Ferrari named the F1-75 in honor of the 75th anniversary of their car 125s, then the color can be close to it.

Prettier car won't be faster in this case. Someone said something important about F1 last year:AeroDynamic wrote: ↑07 Feb 2022, 13:57I kinda wish F1 mandated gloss paint in the cars, matte can look good but gloss paint looks elegant and classy.
Toto, it's called a motor race, OK?
