I wonder if the sidepod inlets are actually smaller but painted black, similar to Aston. They look huge, and I can’t think of a reason why that would be the case vs the rest?

Is the lower front wishbone so beefy or is the camera playing tricks with us? Or do they have a single "mercedes 2014 style" single wish L there? (to free up as much space towards the floor intake)

The car has many ugly deformations, starting with the nose tip... and the ugly blade roll hoop returns, with the last team that used it.

But there are many bold design choices.

Rear suspension is an Alfa suspension, not a Ferrari one.

It seems like they ditched the centerline cooling layout and moved everything back in the sidepods, hence the big sidepod openings and the simple roll hoop inlets...

Most interesting front wing so far. Looks like the central section is actually 4 planes and the rest of the wing is 3? Or is it just the angle?

Looking at the endplates it looks like 4 but hard to tell.

It seems there are 4 of them all the time. Just the first row (mainplane?) is angled a bit upwards it seems.

Saw someone say the diffuser is single kick. I think Godlameroso was talking about this in the 2022 comparison thread where a second "kick" is designed into the floor to help stop the flow at the throat of the diffuser from becoming sonic.

Hopefully he can come and explain it more detail.

Has anyone else shown a "side extract" on their tunnels like this?

I feel something like this is going to be the game changer in 2022. As 1-3% gain from the floor over a rival will be a huge advantage.

Thanks, that's what I realised when I saw more pictures. Seems similar to Aston where they are almost hiding the second element behind the first.

The rear suspension is mounted so incredibly high! And by extension therefore I suppose the gearbox/gearbox carrier is too. So much so that it looks unusual. How interesting. The reasons for this I suppose are to get more air directly over the top of the diffuser?

Rear suspension look normal to me, but it seems like the inboard suspension elements are not integrated inside the gearbox casing, they are placed on top of it, and the exhaust pipe must avoid them...

Interesting as usual from Sauber.

Pushrod front/rear is different. At least McLaren wasn’t the only one thinking in that direction for the rear.

Given this car and Haas are going with larger sidepods, I’m guessing Ferrari will do the same.
