Hopefully in a good way. The Lotus E22 also looked different from what we've seen on the grid that year and it wasn't that good.

No. The response to this question has been repeated so many times it isn't funny.

The big air box was basically a Covid symptom.
It wasn't something that Alpine intended to do for performance reasons. Rather it was because all teams had to reuse the 2020 chassis (in Alpine's case was already the 2019 chassis) in 2021 and make the new floor changes work. If they would have been able to create a new chassis for 2021, that (big airbox) wouldn't have been the direction they would have chosen.
