Does the "Bird Bath" on the top of the sidepods interact with the wake of the front pitot tube? Or just a triangle fin on the nose?

No, it's just the classical hole in the front for driver cooling

I think they will open up the slots in the side pod cavities like Williams. They probably started off with slots to make it look more like a cooling feature.

Unless it really is just radiator under there.

With the intensity of rain needed to fill those lakes in a matter of seconds after the formation lap, the tyres would be soaked anyway.

No, it's just the classical hole in the front for driver cooling
I think you completely missed my point.

I believe that the teams have used a triangle shaped splitter on the nose for years to create a v shaped vortex to push air around the halo. These sidepods look like they catch that wake, and bend it around the car to the back..

What a fascinating machine. It looks fantastic & a little familiar. Maybe it's the grand child of the 412 T1......

Super short nosecone. Is that the new thing with this new regs or only Ferrari did it?

It's possible they shaped the blue area like a boat (in top view) so the surrounding air will accelerate around it and lower the pressure there to enhance hot air extraction from the louvers

This was my thought. The shape of the mirror supports sets it up.

So the leak was the real car, just with some lens distortion. Cool. Love the livery.

Being pedantic, the seams on the panels are wavy.
